Great post Rashmi.. I have not watched ekta serials before nor I know of these actors .I started watching it because of the raving reviews initially and the intriguing storyline and got completely hooked to it after those brilliant initial episodes.wanted to know more of these legends and found this forum and brilliant peoples here for which alone I'm thankful to ekta but never would do the mistake of getting attached to a mega serial to see it to be mercilessly butchered.Its still painful thinking of it though I have not watched I for months now..Watching dkdm now and sometimes mk .i somehow missed dkdm early ..and liking it..but I miss my ja and wish some one some day would do enough justice to their story..i mentioned dkdm as when I was watching karthik learning to fight and the way Shiva and parvati handled him when he was not interested in warfare made me think of ja..this is how the kid should have been handled.its always not romance that makes the story ,the slight insecurities ,the loneliness,the happiness a child brings in to their life ..yet have to send the child for the betterment of the society...y
They could have don't so much and brought life and meaning to their love even I thet don't want to show politics or anything...instead of that unbearable afeem and the casual way they handled it.the ever winning ruq and she is the main reason I left and yet now they are selling sa.i would go on with my rant as the loss of ja however refuse to go away completely

very sall said Priya...cant agree more with u all. Many left because of Ruks and now with SA in prominence. Actually I still hate Ruks more than SA. Salim somewhere at least have a reason, and what he is now partly Ruks is responsible for it...So I still completely hate Ruks and that hatred has slowly seaped into Lavina also...😕

Coming to Akbarnama, I am now at Page 200. I have reached 1558...

So far it mostly talks about Akbars trip to Gujarat, his encounters, most that all of u know. Something interesting I could pick was the following. This already Abhay mentioned.

1. In order to do honor of Raja Bhagwan Das, his auspicious sister who held high rank in imperial harem was sent off in order that she must be present at the mourning of Bhupat who had fallen in battle of Sarnial
2. Elephants used to be the name of the rook at chess, now is that of Bishop
3. Akbar used to tame wild elephants. In his younger days Akbar used to enjoy taming wild elephants as a hobby. He would even be a spectator of elephant fights, in which two massive elephants would fight each other from very close quarters. He would be sitting on top of one of them.
