Nim, watched just a minute of the Humsafar link you posted somewhere in-between the episode not sure where now but just to see if I could understand anything without someone translating for me and guess what, I was able to understand a little about the mother having cancer, no money to pay for treatment and I believe about the daughter getting work. Not sure if this is correct but I just viewed a scene in-between for about a minute or so. Tell me if I am wrong or not, k. Neways, thx for the warm welcome girls and "Happy Rose Day" A rose for each of you and your individualty and even if I may be late as it is night here when it is day where you all are. I will try to put a vid I found on YT on the LTL forum thread for Happy Rose day. TC friends, HAWD(Have a wonderul day, full of sunshine in your hearts and minds). Luv and Hugs. Alex

looks like you guys are sanjay leela bhansali's fans. me is venturing no where near him. i am so traumatized by his "sawariya" that i run like his leading ladies in the opposite direction when ihear his name. (the ladies run and run and run some more. finish 10K marathon but still dont reach the door in time. ghar hai ya stadium).here are the new promos of saraswati chandra.
(alex.. ethunasia is one deep subject. cant comment much on it other than saying.. a mature, intelligent person has every right on his/her life and death. provided he/she is free from responsibilies, no one is dependent on them and they have backing of their loved ones😊).
Nim, I googled Saraswatichandra after I read your initial post on this upcoming show and as I said before, I am not sure if I will view the show or not but here is what I think: If the show is sort of based on the novelist Govardhanram Tripathi's 1887's book and the story borders around on what Wikipedia's synopsis description states, and I quote here "The original novel, written in five parts from 1887 to 1902, narrates the lifestyle and ideology of people in the early 20th century. It depicts the social fabric of that time: extended family life and the beginning of the meltdown of old customs and traditions". I may start viewing the serial with a questionable mind because as you said and rightly so in a previous post about getting reviled and trampled if anything is posted against the show or its' cast members. I know it is for entertainment and the channel execs and show makers would have to add some unrealistic scenes and actions to raise trp's, but still, I believe and you said so yourself, there is a certain percentage of the audience who would like to see some intelligence in the script which is then carried on and through the strong powerful performance by the actors/actresses. If this serials stays true to the difference of old customs and traditions compared to modern times and the person viewing it can truly get the essence of the story despite the added drama and effects then I will continue to watch. I say this because being brought up in a modern Western world, over the years I have seen the breakdown in moral and social standards spanning and between all age groups. It takes extra effort in modern times in teaching and teaching by example too, just to make one's own family members continue with respect for others, remembering to keep in touch, say thank you, spend time with each other and especially how important it is to know and care about the extended family especially our elders and children. Sure, everyone and families should have their own individuality and independence but the basic moral and ethical Golden Rule of any culture "Do unto others as you would have them to do to you" should still be instilled and remembered. This topic is like everything else has its' positives and negatives but can be a learning experience for all involved. It would be interesting to see how Sanjay Leela Bhansali feature the storyline on each episode.
Whew! long winded rant huh''.

me always love reading your thoughts alex.
@blue - very true one does not want to be dependent on another for their daily existence and as Pri said to live a life of a vegetable. Nim, if you say the silence and easier understood language in the Dhoop Kinare serial speaks for the show itself, I will give it a try.Alex
Saraswatichandra (Gautam Rode) is raised by his stepmother (Monica Bedi), who doesn't consider him as her own. In spite of being treated like an unwanted, Saraswatichandra grows up to be a compassionate, intelligent and charming man. However, when his father decides to get him married, he does not relent to the idea. Nonetheless, his father still goes ahead with his alliance to Kumud (Jennifer Winget) who hails from an affluent family. When Saraswati hears of this, he sends a letter to Kumud – we think it will be an email in this case – explaining his predicament and calling off the alliance. But Kumud replies to his letter. And in a series of mails to each other – the inevitable happens – they fall in love.
One day, Saraswati takes off to meet the love of his life. When his stepmother learns of his actions, she poisons her husband's mind forcing him to call off the wedding without informing his son. When Saraswati comes back, he gets another letter from Kumud informing him that she is marrying someone else.
Kumud, who is now married to Pramadh – an illiterate, unsophisticated, alcoholic, who frequents brothels, is in depression. But Saraswatichandra re-enters her life, this time as Navinchandra. He is employed by her in-laws. Was it fate or planned? Will they get back together or not? There are too many questions and very few answers.

After reading the concept of Saraswatichandra ...its disappointingwhy cannot ppl make happy flicks or shows ...make ppl laugh rather than cryThat's why I liked Barfii ...they showed two positive characters ...they had all odds against them , but they were positive ...Issues of mute person ...He did need to spk , everything he did spoke ...
