This tweet almost 2 months ago confirmed Birla was touted to be one of the producers at least if not the only one. Now here we have the trilogy plus Birla confirmation.

Is Dhar the director? Are they collaborating on this? There’s no different Dhar project, both are the same trilogy!

Well, Ranveer would not be the first to have bought the rights as mostly - if a movie isn't done in a contracted time, the rights go back to the author. Having the rights makes Ranveer the producer... if he also will starr in the trilogy... one will see. First, the books have to go into the script writing stage.

I remember that Karan Johar also had bought the rights many years ago but didn't make the movie and lost the rights.
