Boring movie 😔

It's a cute movie. I really liked it. Great acting by both Siddhant and Mrunal. The characters were very likeable. I was also able to completely relate to both their characters and their insecurities. The movie is probably a little slow, but I didn't mind it.

This is the story of many of us dealing with our own insecurities and finding our path forward. True love is indeed not perfect. True love is when you accept each other with all the imperfections.

I was hoping and praying that they don't end up "fixing" the issue . Really happy with the ending.

First of all....You know that I had watched it when it was released and really really liked this movie...So I may sound biased but I am very fond of this movie...

And Shashank and Roshni (This was their name....not Ayaan or Meher...may be it was a mistake)

1)Does the film romanticise fragility?

Not really ... and it was handled in a mature way..

The film doesn’t glorify their insecurities. In fact, it shows how those insecurities create misunderstandings (the Sonia track),distort intention (the spectacles moment),delay emotional clarity

But it also doesn’t pathologize them.It treats fragility as human, not defective....

What makes this film emotionally seismic is that Shashank does not fall in love with Roshni despite her insecurities , he falls in love without perceiving them as flaws at all.and vice versa....

2)Is their relationship healthy?

This is where it gets interesting and a bit layered.Their relationship is not ideal in a textbook sense.They struggle with communication.They project insecurities onto each other.They misread intentions.But it is emotionally authentic.

Because instead of “fixing” each other, they witness each other,misunderstand each other,hurt each other unintentionally and then…... return

That return is important.Love here is not resolution ... it’s continuity.

The way you have put it:

“The creases don’t disappear..they’re just easier to live with.”

That’s honestly the film’s thesis.

Shashank doesn’t lose his fear overnight.Roshni doesn’t suddenly love her reflection.

But he speaks anyway, she shows up anyway

And in doing so, they become softer versions of themselves.Not transformed.Not healed completely.Just… steadier.

I am not shading any movie but it was a delight to see a story that does not leave you breathless from spectacle ,by the time the credit rolls...it leaves you warm from recognition.Because somewhere, in some memory, I have been Roshni And in some trembling moment before a presentation, I have been Shashank.
