Shreya pays tribute to the legend...
I truly believe no one could make a laugh (or a hiccup) sound as natural as Asha Bhosle did! Some examples

Some of my favorite songs of Asha Bhosle. She was truly a legend. One of the most versatile singers bollywood ever had.

Asha Bhosle was not only versatile singer but she adapted with changing times and collaborated with younger generation. Growing up as a college going student in India in the 90s especially during the advent of Cable television, with the likes of MTV and Channel V became popular, I was one of them who was hooked to MTV after coming back home everyday from college. Pop music gained traction and there were so many new artists in the pop music scene who were extremely talented. Two of her popular collaborations during that time.
One of was with Leslie Lewis for the album - Janam Samjha Karo with her singing Raat Shabnam Bheegi Chandni
Another one was - When British Boy Band Code Red visited in the late 90s, MTV India at that time arranged a collaboration between Code Red and Asha Bhosle.
She was also the first female singer from Hindi film industry to sing a song for AR Rahman in his first Direct Hindi Movie - Rangeela in 1995

I have so many favorites ...there's no singer like her, and I understood this very recently, especially after watching Shreya Ghoshal appreciating the level of "nakhra" (drama or harkate, there is a popular Shreya Ghoshal video on this) in her singing.. and then, it completely changed the way I listen to music, after listening to her obsessively for months.. she's on another level of excellence or brilliance..
The top of my favorites of her are definitely her cabaret or cabaret type of songs
I won't post ones already posted in this thread... as I enjoy anything she sings.. and a lot of my favorites are already posted..

This though, Piya Tu is my top favorite.. IDK why exactly, there are probably much better Asha Bhosle songs than this.. but this is one of the songs that makes me happy, really..

As with "Piya tu" I cannot explain why I love this song so much as well..
