I’m not sure what happens if there’s no will. But his legal wife would likely be the main beneficiary. In this case specifically I just find it hard to believe that Sanjay allegedly didn’t leave his two older kids anything.

If there isn't a specific will or document that kids are desinherited/renounce or already got, also in Western countries, biological/legally adopted kids have a hereditary title.

That's why a testament/prenup is crucial concerning the private possessions.

If there s no will, i think wife will get half share. Remaining half will be equally distributed among all the biological children.

It happened in my grandfather s case many yrs back. Not sure of the rule now.

Property is divided as per the no. of wives having children and current wife. So first wive didn't had any children and already got alimony so nothing for her. Half half will be divided among Karishma's and priya's children. So around 15000 crore both children should get and priya gave only 1900 crore

Inheritance of a hindu married man who dies without a will includes his mother, widow and kids (biological and adopted). In Sunjay's case, his mother, Priya, her son, her adopted daughter, Samaira and Kiaan are his class I heirs. It will be divided into 6 parts equally as per Hindu Succession Act.

This only applies to Sunjay's self-acquired property and not for ancestral property.

Samaira and Kiaan.. why can’t they get anything from their father’s company like shares or anything? Why should Priya and her son only get the company?

What I got to know: Sona Compstar didn't/doesn't belong to Sunjay, he had a certain amount of shares, though and - allegedly - Karishma's kids got a part of the shares worth the 1900 cr mentioned (but can't access them yet).

The personal property of Sunjay is another thing...
