I suppose that Taimur was adamant to go with Saif (and this decision had to be made quickly as the adrenaline still held Saif alert but the bleeding made clear that he had to get medical treatment). Kareena would be the one to get into action at home (caring for Yeh, making the calls to the friend/manager, the family and police).

As they had put the intruder into a room and descended to the floor below they didn't get aware that the intruder could escape.

Isn’t police report public record unless marked as secured one in case of sexual assault or minor involved ?

I find it strange that police report was filed by friend not any of his family members. Secondly they didn’t use personal vehicle for transportation. Looks deliberate to create eye witness

Oh jeez. I think tomorrow the new theory will be that Saif is actually an alien and the real Saif was abducted and the alien was stabbed so that no one would question him being an alien.

It's not a "police report", it is what the paper says, the "reporting" of a "medico-legal case" from the hospital's side to the police. As Afsar was called by Kareena to do the administrative things in the hospital, it's absolutely correct that he fills out the report (in the name of the family)...what imports is the signature of the doctor who admitted the patient.

Such things are always done (also filled out by a doctor) when a medical treatment is necessary because of wounds caused by a violent encounter (shooting, stabbing, fighting, batting, raping, etc.)

As for the transportation: If one knows the compound one also knows that it isn't an easy task to move a car there...in addition, the cars were parked as Kareena got fetched and brought back by a friend and probably there was no one who could manoeuvre the car. But running on the street (which is a main street in Bandra) to get a taxi or an autoriksha was - as we know - a good idea, especially when all were in a state of shock.

Actually, I find it quite sad how some insinuate manipulation from Saif's and Kareena's side...
