My body is so hard wired to wake up at 5ish am that even on a Saturday I wake up like I’m about to race off to war?! Why can’t this adrenaline last for the rest of the day though. Who gonna clean this house?! My farishtey?!

Man, any developing nation is better off than the states at this point.

I’m not usually one to defend America but if someone has a “I just want to make a shit load of money” mindset, it is THE place to be. I’m talking more professional careers i.e. doctors, techie guys, bankers, lawyers etc. Europe doesn’t pay these guys anywhere near as much as US does. More times than not, it’s at least triple the average European salary. But without a doubt, Europe’s “free” healthcare, holidays. sick pay policy etc and probably overall work life balance is wayyy better. Dubai is expat heaven, but God the weather is unbearable in summer. NZ and Aus pay well, have good work life balance but they’re in the middle of freakin’ nowhere and half their population move to Europe for this reason alone.

Still has exciting opportunities and access if one wants to elevate their work life and make it. Can’t explain well but europe is great if looking for something boring straightforward.

When I was in France earlier this year, there were massive protests by the public on the rising of state pension age. And now 4 consecutive days of protests/riots, looting, setting public property on fire and no one’s calling for the resignation of Macron?

many people did not have warm homes last winter due to energy shortages. Europe is facing its unique set of challenges on top of economic slowdown.
