True, she had intended for her and Ranbir to be soulmates who were simply made for one another and not for this ‘fan marries her narcissistic man-child childhood crush who is going through a midlife crisis & settled for her because she was the best needle he could find’ scenario.

I was just pointing out that right now, Alia is receiving sympathy for a marriage arrangement she consciously entered, whereas Ranbir is taking the brunt of the criticism, and his image is in shambles because he can't live up to the expectations she's trying to raise about their relationship, or compete with Vicky's starkly different behaviour toward his newlywed wife who happens to his ex 😆

However, as you pointed out, once Alia speaks up and defends her soulmate proposition, compassion she is getting now will soon fade away . 😆

From what I've seen in the industry no matter Hollywood, Bollywood or any othe industry, couples who look too much caring for each other end up breaking up while those who look cold or friendly rather than in love, end up being together till the end. For me, Aishwaria-Abhishek were an odd couple but they lasted but Hrithik-Suzanne who seemed so much in love, broke up. Same with Brad and Angelina.

Ranbr wasn't ready to get married to anyone for years but if he decided now, it must be for some good reason. He has mentioned how his parents did not have a perfect marriage and he used to hear them fight often so hopefully, his marriage is a happy one.

She's still so young, she could have found another guy, but settled for a 40 year old manchild in a midlife crisis who constantly disrespects her and walks all over her...when she could have got herself a much nicer guy.

I have zero sympathies for her because she willingly chose this path. And because she is a horrible person herself. She has to live with these insecurities all her life and that's on her. It will be a constant back and forth of getting sympathy and getting hate... that's going to mess with her a lot.

I don’t know if I’d call her a horrible person. I do think she’s entitled and professionally greedy. And extremely insecure about her body, her contemporaries (specially Deepika for some reason), and has a very PR driven persona.

All being said and done, alcoholism and depression runs in her family. I hope she’s aware enough to recognize the symptoms in herself IF it ever comes to that.
