Dear Aamir,

I won’t boycott your film coz of your comments but because I am totally disinterested in this film.. the moment something about this film comes on my feed , I quickly scroll down to the next thing as the trailer was a snooze fest with your cringeworthy acting.

The original Forest Gump is an all time classic which I have watched multiple times. I would rather watch that again. This Amir Khan movie doesn’t interest me

I don't like watching old actors in hero role any more so I will boycott.

Im just waiting for dunky not because of SRK but for Hirani.

If it turns out to be a really good film, I wonder how the boycotters will deal with the moral dilemma...

Why? Your heroine herself said don’t watch Bollywood films, none of you guys are forcing us to watch then why you begging us not to boycott. If your heroine don’t care if we watch it then you shouldn’t either and plus original is original!

Aamir is scared knowing that audience have not liked the trailer. This is his self defense for the faliure of the film. I will not watch it because I have watched the original and best. Tom Hanks won an oscar for this movie. I wish Bollywood make original movie rather than remake of South, Hollywood or Korean.

Aamir Khan is a good actor we all know, he gives in his blood and sweat for every of his movie with proper planning, gets into the skin of character from physical appearance to the character's mindset.

Unfortunately, this time he has chosen a subject which would not appease masses or the youth who are looking for wholesome entertainment like 'Raj Kumar Hirani' brand.

Forest Gump is definitely is one of the best movie of Tom Hanks. But Indian adaptation does not attract both masses and classes.

For classes, most have already watched it the original, so why watch same movie that too copied version when original is still on Netflix.

For masses, as said before not much entertainment value.

If you look Aamir past few years filmography then successful movies were those which either was wholesome entertainment (Comedy or thrilling subject with good message) or were very low budget plus MUST BE NOVEL (Something Indian Audience hadn't experienced, specially mass).

Dangal : (Low budget and wholesome ent.)

Secret Superstar (Low Budget)

PK (Wholesome ent.)

Dhoom 3 (Action full Masala musical entertainment with some emotions)

3 Idiots (Wholesome youth entertainment)

His failures were

Thugs of Hindustaan (poor Script big budget)

Taalash (Thriller but slow paced drama)

Now where does Laal singh falls.

1. BIG BUDGET

2. COMEDY (x)

3. THRILLER (x)

4. DRAMA with MESSAGE (Yes)

5. NOVEL (as its inspired from Forrest Gump cannot say novel, but yes story of handicapped underdog ? could be interesting)

Now looking the promo;

The promo could have shown more of underdog's humiliation, pain and his struggle to overcome the hurdles, instead the promo focuses more upon gaining SYMPATHY for the character. Which makes it boring for audience.

So will people go to watch it ? Will it get good opening ?

No one can predict future. We can make some guess based upon all above factors and recent box office openings of other movies.

The MIGHT NOT get BIG OPENING. As most audience wait for at least a day or two with all reviews, WOM out.

Based upon the WOM, if its GOOD, then collection might increase or be steady for a week. But if its BAD, then it will take no time for the movie to crash by Monday evening itself like Shamshera or Prithiviraj.
