Arsalan look at Tanishk's discography. He does shitty movies most prominent music composers wouldn't touch. SEL, Amit Trivedi, Pritam, V&S are selective with their work and only tend to work for certain producers and directors. They spend months and months on one movie, some even a year. They also don’t do multiple projects at a time because they don't need to and neither do they want to. Tanishk either gets lower level movies or 1 or 2 songs in a movie that has 5 other producers like Amaal Malik or Ankit Tiwari. Everyone says directors go to him when they want a remix. I know you don’t keep up with this century movies so you genuinely might not know this, not every director wants remixes.

it isnt just about lyrics, its about music. I know fans of korean music who almost believe that their idols's and their music are the reason why they are feeling better (mentally)

Dark and Money Heist are two of the most watch series, both are not in English, but still popular, because of their stories and characters (ik people change audio language and use subtitles, but that's my point, people go through that much trouble because the shows are worth investing)

Kpop (Indian) fans go through the trouble of translating the songs, they are waiting for their idols to perform in India. Heck, there might be some poeple out there who might have learnt korean just because of their idols and their music.

AR Rahman had launched an album last year, 99 songs, Shankar Ehsaan Loy gave their music for Bandish Bandits.

Rahman did promotional song for Marvel during Endgame (which wasn't upto mark, but still, HE was approached out of the whole lot in BW)

Also I guess the 1.5 million people at Sonu's concert were either all Indians & pakis since you have to understand the language to be a fan. Also man these English singers are so popular around the world. I never knew only people who understand English listened to them.

That is what saddened me, since when bollywood music went down to tanishk level.... Shankar ehsan Loy had so much to offer, the are the most underutlized music director in last decade..... Medicore people replaced the quality artist be it in composing or singing their dil chahata hai music still sound so youthful
