Watched the whole chat. It was average to decent. Tabu and Deepika was me at every family function. Bas sunte jao aur mundi hilate jao. But I'm glad Deepika spoke up when Rani started talking about the Me Too movement. I was suprisingly pleased with Alia for a change. I think she made sense sometimes unlike the other roundtables where she would come just to eat grapes.
I wish Tabu had spoken more. I laughed so hard when she started mediating that little argument between Alia and Taapsee regarding the audience liking the character question.😆
Which brings me to another question- Does Alia not like Taapsee? And vice versa? Don't know why but I got such a feeling from their conversations. It looked like they were intentionally opposing each orher's opinion like school children.
Also, I feel high time Anushka needs to be banned from roundtables. It's not just rude but so irritating to see her interrupt everyone else and put in her two cents. And the pace with which she speaks makes it so tough to understand what she is saying.

Anyways I wish Masand could change the format and make a gender neutral roundtable. Bring in both male and female actors on the same table and let them speak. I think it will not just be much more enjoyable but will also give us an insight on how one gender perceives the problems of the other amongst other issues. That's why I have always loved the newcomers roundtable more than these. You get to hear so many POVS together. I had really liked the one with Fathima,Jim Sarbh and others. Pinning my hopes on this years since I've enjoyed the interviews of Ishaan/Sara/Janhvi a lot this year so want to see what they discuss.

I can't believe Rani just spent ten minutes telling Taapsee how Mulk and Pink weren't the same film, something that Taapsee herself was saying in the first place.😆

This roundtable was a mess lol. My favorite part was Deepika's expressions and response (thereafter) when Rani was talking about metoo. She was perhaps the only one who tried taking Rani heads on, but couldn't do it fully because Rani wasn't dropping it. I also liked the part when Deepika told Rani, come on you live in a freaking bungalow...that's after Rani kept going she has no space in her room LOL. Coming to Rani, I have always liked her work as an actress but there is something off about her lately (or I just noticed it recently). There's a lot of arrogance and some sense of entitlement. There was an interview with Anupama that I actually stumbled upon recently where Rani's response about the pay gap between woman and men was also as mind boggling as her metoo comments. She basically said if actresses stop worrying about money and start paying attention to their work, money will automatically follow. She then went on to say how as an actress, she was never money driven so none of this ever bothered her. I am not sure where all of this is coming from? Seems like her marrying Adi Chopra has made her forget how not everyone is in the same spot as her.
I wish Tabu spoke. Her demeanor is so pleasant and she always comes across as very humble and genuine whenever she does speak.

I noticed Rajeev eye gesturing Tabu to speak and she politely rejecting it at least twice in the length of the interview...
Just like us, Rajeev also seemed more interested in listening to Tabu's POV as he kept on repeating the questions to Tabu directly...That's the only time she really spoke...

Rani's whole Adira-Hichki story was a nice one to hear. I've always felt Rani is a brilliant actress whose voice unfortunately takes away half of the appreciation her performance deserves. I'm glad Hichki worked out for her and she has been able to overcome her voice problem just like her character in Hichki. Really looking forward to Mardaani 2. She was fab in the prequel.

Alia was okay for the most part but I got so annoyed when Rajeev directly asked Tabu about how the actresses deal with a successful role or something in those lines...Tabu was almost opening her mouth and Alia butted in with her borrowed wisdom from her dad saying - my dad always says bla bla bla!🤔 The sad thing is Tabu never got to answer that question...

BTW, how irresponsible of these actresses to show up at a round table without doing any homework on their part? the least they could do is watch the movies of the other participants so that they will at least know what the others were talking about? Or am i expecting too much here?
