The Producer said Kangana directed 70% of the movie so he felt she needed to be there as part of the Directors. If she had refused he was going to put it there any way because of the time she invested in making the movie.

Makes sense...she tried her level best to strike a fair deal with the British in favor of her son whom she protected till the last breath...but there could not be any reasonable solution for obvious reasons...

Is the character Chima Bai (stepmom of Rani, second wife of M Tambe) part of the movie? Apparently she was Rani's constant companion during the siege ... she also left when Rani left for Kalpi...many years later Tambe family provided valuable information about it..as they heard from her...

Also, fall of Jhansi and the subsequent battles are so bloody...wonder how much they can actually show

Yah, true that. It's more challenging in case of RLB due to lack of authenticate information...Chima Bai had her own story after she left the fort... she had a son to raise on her own (since MT also died during the seige)...needless to say she had her own share of struggle like everyone else associated with Rani
