ETA: I don't think Kangana is necessarily asking for everyone to share their own metoo story. She's saying more people should speak up on the issue of harassment within the industry and talk about the problem. And I agree with that. Beyond that I'm not getting into another round of Kangna is right vs Kangana should shut up.

She sounds a hyocrite as much as Akshay, Aamir and Ekta Kapoor were called for taking a stand. Although I agree but it's so obvious she using all this for an agenda by saying how she is the only one fighting for the movement and making the whole conversation around it, promoting herself.

Actually Alia spoke up several times when the documentary India's Daughter came out and I don't remember her saying anything inappropriate or idiotic. She's always all about girl power and feminism and equal rights. So her specifically being so quiet is kind of weird. Someone here actually speculated that she might be afraid of what skeletons might come out of the Bhatt closet. Either that or someone told her not to ruffle any Kapoor feathers. If Rhea Kapoor can post an I Believe Her post on her Instagram then so can an Alia or a Deepika or Anushka.

Once again we are running in circles. She never said what was being talked about on KWK was harassment. She was questioning why were people's sex lives being discussed while this major shift was taking place in the industry. Yes she did say there is glorification of a Casanova and well frankly she's right. Except that happens all over the media not just on KWK.

I think either people's anger at Kangana or their defense of their favorites is too strong here so we all keep running in circles. I'm gonna leave it at that.

Why should A listers speak? Because by speaking up now they can have a bigger impact on this movement and make a bigger difference in how everyone moves forward. Even if not saying anything specific maybe say something generic in support of all the victims. It is rather surprising that some of the big names with active social media habits are keeping mum.
