Imagine your husband not there with you during such a time...I am pretty sure you would be pissed and say men, all they care about is their job' no? A spouse can be a pillar of strength during tough times during a tour! The assumption here is that the only reason you want your spouse is to have sex lol! Come on! It's hard to be away from spouse for long stretches of time. As it is all these games are just games, a way to distract citizens from real issues with the garb of national pride & other mumbo jumbo & a way to make money for the organizers lol! Just saying. Get angry when your tax money is used to wage unnecessary wars! Virat is a family man, loves his wife, wants to spend time with her...why so much hate on him for such desirable things? Lol!

@Bold: What is so appalling about it? Its called Duty first...😕 A very normal thing for men who are in the fields like Army, Medicine,Sports etc...

People can literally defend anything😕

Could someone clear this up? Is VK allowed to keep his wife around, during matches, with his own funds?
IMO, the two weeks the WAGS are allowed is generous for a period of 2 months.

I don't consider sports to be a national duty. It's a money making venture. Come on now. Lol! Anyways I wasn't upset with Dhoni. It's appalling that he had to be in that situation for a game...it's a comment about the structure of the system. We should be ok with him not going for a tour if his wife is expecting to deliver. Games will come & go, we will win & lose but the birth of his child is not happening all the time.

Also, women are demanding to bring their kids to work (NZ PM brought her infant kid to an UN meeting etc & this was welcome!). I think it's ok to bring kids to work if you must. Work is not life! Life is supported by work. Not the other way round. Our work structure should not exclude family or be designed such that one has to ignore family.

Nobody has to agree with me lol. These are my views. There is no such thing as normal. You can argue for & against any rule because we made all these things up ourselves lol! You can always question rules!

WAGs are not allowed in any sports and there is a reason for that.
They are distraction and mostly can have negative effect on the mental preparation of a player.

Sports may be a money making venture...but National level sports also have a lot of patriotic feelings attached with it...I know that when India is playing Cricket World cup...and especially if its against Pakistan...meri jaan pe bani hoti hai ki kahin Pakistan se na haar jaaye India🤣...but jokes apart...National level sports players literally bring so much pride to their country...every citizen feels it...be it a World cup..commonwealth games or Olympics...it may be a money making venture for some but its ultimately about winning for ur country...the players make money is a very lucrative perk of being on a national team...so lets not bash Dhoni for doing what he should have done at that time...that is kept his country before everything else👍🏼

Sports should be considered as sports only not a national duty. It's how we have made this... That too partially Cricket is given so much importance in our country while other sports are neglected... Things are changing but still.
If I am not wrong I have seen WAG in other sports like futball and lawn tennis so they should be allowed if player is serious about his career he will know what he will do before match and after match ;)

Its not a national duty technically but it becomes one since so much pride and sentiments attached with it...it is India won the match...not Dhoni or Kohli won the match...and WAGs should be allowed for sure...if a person gets distracted by seeing their better half ...they are not fit to play IMO.

We have made it that way if India wins the match it was Dhoni and Kohli win... Baaki players jhakk maar rhe hai...

He is worried about getting wife ... While other national sport players are pleading for provision of basic resources.

Recently a friend left to Australia for 6 months for her company's on site thing.she was allowed to take her husband. The same friend went to New York last yr for 2 months and was not allowed to take her husband with her because it was just 2 months. When it comes to cricket or any other sport, i believe its not fair to ask ur boss to let ur family stay throughout the trip. The 2 weeks they are allowing is more than enough because its not the crickters but bcci that pays.
Coming to dhoni , my dad wasn't around when i was born because i wqs born a week after due date and he had to go bk to office to avail paternity leave thing central govt gives. Also, in indian households women who live far away from their parents are sentt to their maternal home in 7th month or 9th month so presence or absence of husband in cases of husband not getting leave is balanced out by her family.

Not only Salman but also Shahrukh they both seem to be really cool with tall girls towering over them. Saif was a jerk though.

Oh Srk is such a sweetheart about this height jokes, I remember watching the om shanti om interview where he joked about climbing a ladder to romance deepika 😆
