I did not see any people from other countries talk the way we Indians do . I did not understand this slave mentality. There are other actors who came from other countries, they never talk like this way. Even in my company , my CFO is from Sweden and he openly says when it comes to sports and stuff he always takes Sweden side.

LOL. Pinto is actually above average looking. 😆 if you want to see good looking women , walk down Bangalore & Bombay roads you will see women as dark/darker than Pinto who are legit good-looking.

I do know of many people who find her good-looking/stunning, so its subjective & not a case of Indians collectively, finding her "ugly" but this one goes on & on about it because she knows it makea good headlines sitting in the West to talk this way about India because widespread discrimination does take place till today.

When actresses like PC, DP, Bipasha could make it, I don't see why Pinto wouldn't have. She didn't because she did not have screen presence, viability, luck & talent. She's a shitty actress who photographs beautifully so should've tried modelling. Whining about how she was denied opportunity because she's dark is simplifying the situation & this is someone who is really sensitive to colourism.

Oh come on! Just bcoz West finds her beautiful does not mean we shud also find her. Just like i dont find Brad Pitt handsome at all.

I found her very average looking in the film. It is not about color. It is also about the features. PC looks way more pretty than her. And Bipasha looks Hot. Even Kajol is pretty n has a beautiful eyes n smile.

The West praised Frieda not for her looks IN the film but for her dressing gowns on the red carpet. She did carry herself well in interviews, has a exotic face and a Christian name. Fortune definitely smiled on her n it is a miracle that she made it this far for such a average performance.

But, hving said that, she shud not mistake her luck wid talent. I wud say, she is as fortunate to get roles as Jacqueline Fernandes or Katrina get here (though she is not in Big league like them). Destiny plays a big part.

Ok. According to me, had she not made it to the West, none of us wud hv even given her a second look. Fact. And I still cant forget how lame her acting was, how awkward her dance was and her lack of screen presence in Slum Dog Millionaire. She is a clear example of Fortune n Destiny. That film changed her life like how!

Wow. Wasn't expecting this from her. Bollywood is not just "mindless cinema," there are plenty of quality movies churned out here. And Hollywood produces plenty of "mindless cinema," too. Does she think Hollywood is only about Oscar nominated films? And yes, please, don't come back. I have no respect for people that forget their roots, let alone diss them. 🥱

^^You didn't? She has been whining about this since 2008.,😆 She makes it always!sound like the only reason why she didn't do well in BW is because she's dark. Lmfaooo. This is the same woman BTW, who coincidentally dumped her fiance Rohan Antao as soon as she got money & fame. Now, he sounds lame & is completely.. Unattractive to put it politely, but isn't it a big coincidence that you dump him as soon as you hit fame? Then the reports & rumours by crew members on the few films she worked on while she was in a live-in relationship with Dev Patel; that she cheated a lot on him & his silence towards her & how she randomly put up a PIC of Dev's as soon as the 2017 Oscar nominations were announced & he didn't even bother acknowledging it. 😆 She's spotted everywhere with Sid Mallya, wonder why she doesn't try for him. Maybe its because she's too dark.

Thats because majority of the indians are fair & lovely obsessed. If you look at any matrimonial column in The Hindu/ TOI almost 98% wants 'fair' bride!!

When it comes to her acting, i do agree that she was pretty horrible in SM. But she has received critical acclaim for all her acting works post trishna(2012). So to blame her for something she had done before a decade is too much.

^^Thats for normal people, widespread world not as much for BW actresses otherwise PC DP Bips Chits Pooja Hegde woukdnt be revered & loved for their beauty & sexiness. So her argument doesn't have weight IMO. And I remember arguing with you about this , I found her mediocre in Trishna. I only saw Riz Ahmed (IIRC he was in the film too?) She would make a great model but as an actor or looker, I find nothing to write home about. You love her, good. I don't. And her constant whining about India & how horribly she was treated in India when actresses darker than her are ruling, comes off as misplaced bitter arrogance to me since 2008.
