While this surely helps open discussion around a taboo topic, it still does nothing for those who cannot afford to buy these pads. IDK about India, but in the US they're pretty pricey, but what can you do, you need em. Buy a pack or two and donate, they surely have the $$ to do it!

Pads are pricey in India too...openly talking about problems just to promote a film, sadly thats what our bollywood is best at. Helping actually would have been a way better idea. We know slum people and other rural areas cant afford...help them...put a part of your movie success in that and buy for them...instead of holding it in your hands and taking selfies.

I find this a pure bullshit idea.
Dumb promotion tactics and nothing else.

What's this?
We all know doing shit is as natural as menstruation!
So what next?
Sitting on the commod and posting pictures of shitting?
Like really??

This is how you promote good things? This is how you bring a change??
Going around villages spreading awareness is one thing, but posting pictures on instagram, for whom?
Those village people who got accounts on insta, don't use pads??
Hah!

Men ARE liberal, women are liberal... and well, those who can use social medias, obviously don't cringe at pads at home used by themselves or their partners. You don't need to bring everything out in the open just to show you're growing!!!!!!

Everything can be natural, and yet some things have forever been kept as personal.
Otherwise, shitting and urinating could be done before everyone anywhere as easily as eating and sleeping.

I think many have answered points raised towards me and explained in much better manner.

This farce of a campaign is not for raising any awareness...its for making money using problems of people. Once your movie came into picture I reject any message crap and u then did drama of involving celeb with pads ... this is clear conflict of interest

i cannot go past this...sorry.

if u want to debate on pads and need for women and how men need to be educated (if they need to be) then we can talk about in debate mansion

i loved bollywood...i dont watch other movies 90% is bollywood

not for such crap...fake movies with intention to make money..i would be highly offended by it if someone was using my issues to make money

in 2 months these people will come up with another campaign

only governments and social organizations are serious ..

these vultures are interested in money and money

i understand when something connects to u..it becomes difficulty to see thru..so i respect counter view and people stories..but my point is different..my issues is with these vultures n fake activists.

i am not going to spend my 13.5 dollars on this

I can give 100 dollars to this cause otherwise.

Thanks for clarifying! Sad thing is, people don't check validity of any news, and then spread it on whatsapp and fool old people who believe anything that's forwarded to them, no matter how fake the story sounds

Hippo paisa banate banate kuch awareness ho jaye to kya bura hai ..pehle log baat karna pasand nahi karte the ab kam se kam baat to start hui ...hope future main kuch aur naya ho jaye... paisa aaj kal har cheez main ...zaroori nahi ki kuch acchi hone wali cheezo ko sirf iss wajah se support na karo kyunki awareness failane walo ka motive money jayda awareness kam hai ... jab aisi movies se paisa banega tab hi koi dusra banda kuch aise taboo topics pe movie banayega aur aaj kal movies are the best medium to spread awareness 😳

i dont know how men fit into all this.

Because it is important to educate men as well. Women and men coexist. Men have to play their role to support women and not embarrass them.

If someone interrupts a meeting to say "Hey, I cut myself, do we have a band-aid around?" people are helpful. They will provide first aid supplies and help. If someone feels sick or throws up, they people will offer to buy medicine or drive them to the doctor.

But if a woman has an untimely period and has no supplies, she has to obtain a pad or tampon like a ninja warrior. She has to quietly find another woman who can help without anyone else noticing what is going on. It is especially worse working in a male-dominated office. Talk of periods and men turn red with embarrassment. Many will actively groan. Some even have the audacity to scream TMI or claim to be uncomfortable.

We need to establish a world where a woman can stand up and say "Hey, I got my period early. Does anyone have tampons? and people don't flinch. We need to establish a world where a woman can hand a tampon to another woman and its the same as handing a band-aid or migraine pill. We need to establish a world where if there are no women around men nonchalantly volunteer to make a quick grocery run. We need to establish a world where women do not have to act like secret ninjas to hide the fact that they bleed. And men play a huge role in that.

If you have a problem with selective promotions for the sake of films, then I can see your point and agree to a certain extent.

But if you have a problem with society becoming open about menstruation and involving men in the discussion, I will fight you.

the news.could be fake.but high chances of that happening since i see a lot of boys posing with pads at malls n posting those pics on the internet.
Nevertheless too much of wastage of pads is happening and as a doctor i feel really alarmed at the rate at which.this madness and juvenile padman challenge is spreading.
