Yes he has. Badlapur... but I don't think that can match To Wake Up Sid, Rockstar, Barfi. I personally don't like Ranbir either but will give him credit.

Ranbir was all media hype and he did sustain the hype with few good movies too but he isn't a star material at all and believes in being in the news for his affairs and not for his films. So yes varun is the bigger star here. And i also find varun as the better actor, he can surely do a YJHD or even a Rajneeti but Ranbir can never do a judwaa or ABCD convincingly.
