two awards at BIG Zee Entertainment
Awards. She won it for her performances in
films, Sarbjit and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Karan
Johar presented the award to the gorgeous
beauty and was all praises for her on the
podium.
He stated, "I wanted to work with her since
1997. I narrated the script of Kuch Kuch
Hota Hota Hai but due to some reason
things didn't work out back then."
He further added, "Hence, after almost a
decade, when Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was being
planned, I was pretty sure, Aishwarya would
make for an indispensable fit for this role. If
she would have declined this role then I
would have never gone ahead with it."
Aishwarya was totally overwhelmed by KJO's
praises. She replied to him, "Thank you,
Karan, for giving me the role of Saba. It has
helped people wake up to many other
possibilities that they can choose from. I am
glad to have such an amazing team. I thank
the entire cast and crew for their
immeasurable support and hard work."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aishwarya
Rai Bachchan will next be seen in Fanney
Khan alongside Anil Kapoor. In the film, she
will be playing the role of an ultra glamorous
singer and might even croon to a few of her
songs.
The movie is being helmed by debutante
director Atul Manjrekar. Fanney Khan is
being produced by Rakeysh Omprakash
Mehra, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series.
Anil and Aishwarya were paired alongside
each other in previous movies namely Taal
and Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai. When Anil
was asked by a leading daily about working
with Aishwarya, the actor stated, "Fanney
Khan is an exciting journey for me. I have
always admired Aishwarya's craft and it'll be
interesting to work with her again, after so
long."
Fanney Khan will release in the month of
April in 2018.
