These songs sung by none other than Sonu this year never got the recognition probably because they weren't in any major fills. But nonetheless they are absolute gems. The first song Mann beqaid huva is my absolute favourite. Do give it a listen and tell me if you feel the same. Although let me tell you that the lyrics of that song are even more beautiful than the voice.

Look how he adapts to today's style of singing but takes it to another level. Also just listen to his high notes. No falsetto, no cracks, and absolutely no shouting.

I don't like this as much as the others because I don't like the sound of breathing that filters through. It's supposed to add pain but it somehow detracts through

I heard that song a while back and forgot. But honestly didn't like it as much as the other three so didn't put it there. But the first song,, that's such a beautiful song. Truthfully speaking even if the most besura singer would have sung it I would still like it. Because the lyrics and the music is so soothing. Sonu just took it to another level. It's on repeat mode since the time I heard it. I still can't understand why it's not more famous.

Yes completely agree!! I still can't understand how ding dang or suit suit are more famous than this. This is such a classic. I could go on listening to it. And the words.. WOW!!

I would dare say people's taste has changed a lot over the years
Soulful soothing songs do not come as often as before now
Most of the songs now we get are just noise for me

I think that music is such an amazing thing.. nothing that touches your soul lasts for years to come the way a good song does. It has the ability to reflect your every mood and make you happy when you are sad or make you melancholy when you are remembering someone. Even films will stay with you for three hours and then disappear. But music lasts a lifetime. I love music.. especially Bollywood music. I love songs that touch the soul. And I think the first one is definitely a song that will be remembered for years to come. Maybe it'll be reinvented by the next generation. Who knows..? Nobody ever thought that gulabi ankhein would be re - re- invented by our generation. When it first came people thought that it was noise too..!!

I agree
Music has a special connection with the soul
It can change our mood any time
The first one is the best of this lot for me
It can be remade too later
But again too much remakes ruin the appetite for music
