Oh sorry Betty, wasn't targeting you.. I was speaking of people who are speaking of her ancestory in the context of her winning awards(as in the argument made here about how she shouldn't win owing to her ancestry) :)

The identity of artist is with industry she is associated with...Kat works in/for Bollywood

..and when I last woke up ...BW was Mumbai based ...Mumbai was in India ...and India was part of Asia...has some thing changed in last couple of hours ??😕

As for awards...the only ones she has received is Kela awards ...don't think she accepted them though.

Besides her dil is Hindustani ...and so are her 2 ex- dildars.

P.S- she looks good in the saree...more desi than the desi themselves.
