Just watched the movie, I cant tell how happy I am! ⭐️ Its an awesome awesome feeling!!!!

We (me and my friend) were actually going for 10:30 pm show for the cinema near to our home but we decided to travel far to MM Alam in this traffic of Lahore and that too on Friday to watch the 7:45pm show. Thankfully we reached there at 7:43 😆 Show started on time and when we entered the hall National Anthem was playing. The hall had 50% occupancy which was pretty good considering that it was premiered on TV recently.

I loved the movie *surprisingly* as I already knew the story by heart and so many clips are available on Youtube. There was no shocking element for me in the story. Even then, I actually loved it more than Tamasha!! I was not bored for a single moment except from the last 10-15 minutes with that Cancer thing! It was unnecessary but I think KJo lost the plot as he had to cut down Fawad's part at the last moment and was bound to extend that sequence. He started off well and I approve this thought of considering friendship precious than the love relationship!!! Its my personal experience (well thats another story for some other day) so I was totally convinced by what Alizeh was doing and why she reacted the way after seeing Ali in Paris... I feel too overwhelmed actually to explain it in my words.. Felt like I am seeing some pieces of my life onscreen...

As far as performances are concerned what should I say about Ranbir that has not been said before!!! This man is brilliant and is created to act! His eyes are the soul.. cant get over those almond coloured eyes full of expressions.. he emoted fondness, devotion, pain, passion, the feeling of rejection and misery with utmost conviction!! He is so so gorgeous I dont actually have adjectives to define his gorgeousness... and it was totally worth it to saw Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Bulleya, Channa Merya on big screen!! Ae Dil Hai Muskil song just smashed my heart into pieces 😭 He was endearing as Ayaan I just wanted to give Ayaan a warm hug!!! 😔

Anushka performed really well and this one is coming from someone who always get annoyed by Ranbir's costars especially its a pain to tolerate a certain D's accent... From Anushka's mannerism, her dressing sense and her way of talking I could confidently claim that she was actually playing a Pakistani girl.. She too expresses really well with her eyes.. I could see spark in her eyes when she is around Ayaan and could feel the dullness and lifelessness when she is around Ali... this actually sums up the whole story why she didn't feel the same way for Ayaan...

Aishwarya is goddess!! I think it was the first time I saw her in some movie on big screen 😆 I have seen her movies on DVDs but never in Cinema!! She is stunning and I really wished that she had more scenes.. her chemistry with Ranbir was top notch and highlight of the movie!!!!

Fawad's role was brutally chopped and there was a pin drop silence when Fawad appeared on screen! I actually like the way our country keeps things subtle and normal and there is no star worshipping!! He was treated just like some other character in the movie... He made his impact even with less screen time.. One can kill him for his diction!! He owns up the screen... He has wasted his prime time by running after Bollywood projects..since I saw him last time in Khoobsurat so I felt some heart ache as I was kind of missing him, wish he had got his due!!! Anyway lets leave this topic out of this discussion...

I can understand what KJo was trying to say but he could have said it in some better way...It was a good movie just not his best!!!

Music was awesome!!!!!

I will give 3.5/5.0 (-5 for chopping Fawad's role and messing up with that Cancer part)

So even in Pak version, it was same as rest f India. No added scenes to get any milage? I was hoping they will show an extended version and we will be able to see it online.

I actually wanted to watch it for second time 😆 that song Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is just mind blowing!! Cinematic brilliance!! The grandeur and scale of that song actually proved KJo's mettle as a director... I dont think we should underestimate his talent!!

That scene where Alizeh saw Ali in paris for the first time after her break up.. it was awesome!!! Sheer brilliance... Anushka acted really well there... that scene actually reveals the dynamics of her relationship with Ali she was overwhelmed with so many emotions and couldnt compose herself and eventually broke down... but later decided to go with him on his persuasion... I could relate to that!!!!

Anu acted really well. Its been so long when I watched the movie. So I have nearly forgotten many scenes.

What did you make of Holi sequence? Was it meant to be in Pak?

I think they might want to celebrate Holi just due to Ayaan's precence. I read an article where it was written that Ayaan convinces Anushka's father for marriage.. KJo cut all those scenes 😡 those could have added more value... They just showed Ayaan making an entry into wedding and then leaving.. By the way Jinnah International Airport is not like that 😆 but the symbol of PIA was crystal clear where Ayaan met Saba for the first time... and yeah when Alizeh said I am in Lucknow, someone from the audience read her lips and shouted she is saying Lahore 😆
