Yes, she's over doing it but I think she did so in BW too.

It's not her accent that bugs me...I don't ever notice it. It's that "girly-girl" trying-too-hard personality that she puts on that does. It's so obvious that even Westerners have noticed it and have started calling her fake

it is not her accent that annoys me. The stuff she says annoys me

Never ever liked her right from the beginning because she always gave me those fake vibes ...i think once i watched her giggling in one of her movies and thought how fake is this giggle and since then i can't seem to like her

Westerners don't think she's fake it all, it's just jealous Indians that have only watched 1 or 2 interviews and only judge from that. She's had many understated interviews in Hollywood too which are conveniently ignored.

I think some people need to understand not all have the same accent.

The subcontinent and its languages are diverse and the people have spread around the world. Obviously everyone will have different accents.

Priyanka has lived in the US before she was famous. Obviously picked up stuff.

Not defending her but why is it such a big friggin deal what indian celebs sound like?

I think its not the way she speaks... It has more to do with her pretentiousness.. that is so off putting.. She has this air of pretentiousness around her.. And she tried way too hard to come off as this secure, bubbly girl which just makes you cringe.. I watched her in the beginning, then stopped completely and then saw glimpses of her in Gunday and DDD promotions.. Boy was she fake!! And her wannabe laugh!! So no.. her going Hollywood has nothing to do with this.. She always has been fake😆

Then clearly you don't read the comments on her videos on the western fansites...there is always a bunch of comments on her pictures, videos on how she doesn't seem genuine...and they ain't comin from desi folks

I've seen all the comments. Those are Indian people... Just because their usernames seem white doesn't mean they are. Only Indian people give so much importance to trivial things like accent or mannerisms. Westerners are appreciating her all over!

Agree... have felt that all along...She comes across as a wannabe/trying too hard/fake and goes overboard in her IVs...I don't like her IVs at all...with those fake accent/giggle , jumping , just too OTT for my taste.
