yup..divya shot for the movie...the movie went to sridevi after her death...most of the films in 90s were approach to divya...sadly her death paves way to others success...

i like the tamil version than the hindi version...Rajnikanth sir nails the character with his style...charm and attitude...but in hindi version sridevi performance overshadowed all others performance in the film...she awesome in her role...both sirdevi-vijayshanti gave a good performance...

I loved this movie. Isn't this the film that Divya filmed and was ultimately replaced by Sri Devi because of her death?

It is quite regressive though. I mean at the end she gives up her factory to her husband's ex-girlfriend to run in order to stay at home. It doesn't even feel like her own choice, just something that a good wife should do.

Its one of those muvis, which u used to love and watch it repeatedly and then u grow up and ask yourselves y exactly did u loved watching it 😆

Its still a nice watch..

This and also Judaai... Though its a typical Kekta plot, but for that time, this muvi was different.. Selling and purchasing husband 😆

It's a very good movie mainly because of Sridevi's performance as she excelled in her negative role. She looked well matured hence why it was easier to take her seriously in the film compared to Divya. I have nothing against Divya but her performance wasn't strong enough judging by the footage that is seen on YouTube. The problem is that she looked too young and I don't think she was ready to play this kind of role hence it may have been hard to take her seriously. If you look Sridevi she nailed it without fail and provides a lot of hatred into the character that she is portraying which is why her performance was powerful in my opinion.

Those were days when SD ruled Boxoffice and she was hero of the movie...
It wasn't great cinematic experience, but I liked it that time.
Regressive in concept...man has to tame a wife sort of thing...

I won't be able to stand it now...

It was coming yesterday on tv. I was watching it with my cousin then I realized how many times Anil slapped Sridevi's character cos she slaps him.. and I was shocked that they showed violence on a woman so easily 😲 that's why I asked how many people actually liked this movie 😆 😆
