Its only on this forum n pv socalled nutral members are crying but you can see lot of people appreciating katrinas intelligence and articulation on indias today conclave on twitter and facebook. People are calling for others actor actress to take communication classes from katrina . Ya but the same bunch so called nutral members on india forums have never liked katrina to give appreciation n respect when n were it needs to be given . Carry on.

Soft power is a technical term. Not something you would come across very often.

Oh well, I just watched that whole portion and she has handled it very well. He asks as to how the arts...in this case Bollywood reaches different parts of the world and how it acts as a soft power in influencing the other cultures or citizens across the world. And she tried to say that more than projecting a particular image, cinema shows stuff that happens in the reality, she was not very keen about the 'projectiion/nfluence' thingy. Not a big deal since she wasnt even aware of the concept, but you could try and intepret her statements if you put some thought into it. 😆

In general, it does happen. You might be taking some questions from then audience and you might not be aware of certain something. I don't see anything wrong in asking for them to elaborate it a little bit. I myself have done it. Nothing to be ashamed of. You learn new things every day. That's why I was quite surprised by the reactions on this thread. Not many people around me know what soft power is. 😆


ETA: Also it's a seminar, usually people are well-rehearsed. Why is it so surprising. 😆

You don't need to have a degree to be smart, but I figure she at least read up on newspapers once in awhile. I think for the most part it was a good itnerview, but she can't do spontaneous , which makes me think it was all rehearsed and prepared in advance. Slightly disappointed with the question considering what he asked her. Her face went completley blank.

the most hillarious part of this whole interview was that the other lady praising katrina for gracefully answering..now what was that ? thats an insult actually.!
