Happy to see the respect for Amitabh Bachchan in this thread. Many on the forum always make jokes about him and act as if he is some arrogant buddha, and they completely ignore what he has done as an actor. As an actor, he is amazing what he does on screen. To have such energy levels at his age is just unbelievable.
Whenever I watch Waqt (2005), I am amazed by him. The way he did the comedy and dramatic scenes at his age is superb.

No he's not saying they'll have to step down, because they won't like AB Sr didn't actually step down. But that someone will have the opposite charm of them which will click...like the Khans charm was opposite that of Bachchan's angry young man. We are now due for another superstar is what he's saying.

Nothing new...it's stuff that's been said on the forum multiple times now. Anyways, the more people say it, the better it is because if nothing else it pushes them to want to shut people up.

I read it too. :D Accha tha.

I dont think the khans are going anywhere. They have too big a fanbase to be ignored, people wud still like to work with them. And for that, scripts will be written keeping in mind the age of the khans- middle aged heroes or elderly love stories maybe, or other concept based films, the way scripts started being written for ab sr. After he made his comeback in mohabbatein. And of course, younger heroes will do the young roles, and we might get one two superstars from that breed as well.

I always feel that for some reason, the newer generation doesn't really have that "it" factor that the generation of the past did. And I am not just referring to Bollywood, I am talking about other professions as well around the world.

I feel that in some ways it may be because the newer generation doesn't have the drive to work as hard as the generations of the past did. With so much access to technology today, the youth (including me) is spending much more time just socializing and caring about each other's life stories rather than having a clear focus on the future.

It's like a "anything goes" type of society today, a I-care-a-damn society. Interestlingly, I think that is also what has made the entire nation of India go gaga over Salman in the recent years, as he represents that "don't care" mentality that is there around the world today with the youth.

say mannn he did make fool of himself, like raving about his sons performances and all that, but if you see his old movies it makes you think.
imagine those days, when you head to theaters to see his movies. matinee shows, single screen, no air conditioner, black ka ticket, the show starts, and his entry as an angry man.
hey have u seen his don entry...fukkkinnngg killer...
its his size mannn...he totally owns the screen, and no comedians needed in his movies, no need for item numbers, throw below average songs, watch him move. nope, not a dancer at all, but those killer signature moves...i read somewhere, when he first tried to get into movies, some producers told him to go and chop his legs. they even called him a giraffe.

watch him that movie kala pathar with sonakshi's daddy.

sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you say "Hey They should quit" & When you say "By time, they will come down eventually". Now All 3 Khans when debuted way back during the end of 80's, Audience was fried from the overdose of Big B's / Mithun / Dharmendra kind of those movies which were high on Action / Revenge / Masala trends.

Khans didn't march it to take Big B or others down. They made their own mark. I am sure if Audience would have rejected them in start, they would have fizzle out soon & Actors like Sunny Deol, Anil, Govinda & Sanjay Dutt would have been ruling the 90's.

😆

I've heard all kinda crazy stories about Mr. Bachchan. He was rejected by the industry initially for being too tall, his voice, etc.

But he achieved everything through his hard work and dedication, which again as I've said, is something I feel many in today's times lack.

I agree...we can take the example of singing...do singers today have the capability to record the song in one go...with so much technology ..do they really have to do that much RIYAZ...or practice...life has become a lot easier...

and sometimes I feel that people are just frustrated...that the Khans are just sitting there at the top...they are not doing anything new...they are not even acting these days...Do people ever realize ..how much hard work and effort must have gone to be where they are now...everyone who has worked hard deserves to enjoy their success..
