I think the hero of this film will be more of a common man than a star. Also, wasn't Hrithik being considered when he was much younger. Probably, Shekhar wants his hero to be a young man and age has definitely started to show on Hrithik's face. I like Hrithik, btw!

The film is for the international market, so being a superstar in Bollywood may not matter much. YRF really wants to make foray in Hollywood...I think the film caters to them more than the Indian audience. Sushant will be Dev Patel and Suraj Sharma of Slumdog Millionaire and Life of Pi. The actors suited the characters, them being non-stars hardly mattered.

Luck is not enough to impress Rajkumar Hirani, Dibakar Banerjee, Abhishek Kapoor and Shekhar Kapoor. They must have seen talent and potential in Sushant to believe they can derive performance out of him. The hype and obviously the film's substance will be extremely helpful for Sushant to establish himself in Bollywood irrespective of how the film fairs.

I am a visionary and a smart girl to have seen potential in an actor much before these talented directors did. Well, I have a great choice!

this film depend on india market at the first place whatever they release in in international market or not but this is abollywood film

LOP budget is 100 + million and you compere it with this film

their is no relation at all

in india they need amiracle to make this film ahit

200 cr as abudget and they choose an actor who has only 2 film and the biggest of them collect 50 cr ???

any way SK ia agood director so all the best for his team to make his dream project avery good film and about the BO only time will tell .

Its an extremely high budget film and he simply doesn't have the star power for it.

Maybe they are saving money by not casting the 10 crore charging actors😆😆...that way they will have more for the special effects😆

Jokes apart, like some others in here said...luck can only get you so far...ultimately talent speaks for itself...Sushant has the best lineup of movies coming up among any of his contemporaries and then some...Dibaker Banerjee, Rajkumar Hirani, Maneesh Sharma, Abhishek Kapoor again...and YRF producing two big movies on him and not some low-budget sidey ones...this is a big thing.

If you've watched SDR, I think you'll understand me when I say this...this guy is coming into his own as an actor...with each project he's chosen or the ones he's being cast for...he isn't playing the same typical role in every movie...Ishaan was different from Raghu...and going by the synopsis his upcoming roles look different from each other too...he isn't just playing by a simple formula...I think that's interesting...and maybe that is what these directors are seeing in him and wanting to extract different shades from him.

But yes, a movie with Shekhar Kapur...regardless of the ultimate box office outcome...this is HUGE...and I think ultimately maybe for the best...some roles require ACTORS more than STARS.

For example, I feel it was GOOD for SDR that Shahid wasn't cast in that role...he would have hammed it like hell...Sushant was a natural as Raghu.

This is one hell of a role for Sushant, can be a jackpot for him. *fingers crossed*

At the same time, I am happy he is not devoting himself exclusively to just this project and has other interesting projects in his kitty as well.
