The thing is that I don't get why she is not doing her comeback in movies? instead of judging shows she should do her comeback in movies.

Sridevi did her comeback in movie not in judging shows. If Sridevi can do that then madhuri can do it too.

she is doing her comeback with movies. shes shooting gulab gang right now and i think dedh ishqiya starts filming next week

Good for her..ppl here are so judgemental, shows why our society is so backwards when it comes to women.

When likes of SRK, Amir and Salman can act with actresses half their age, kiss them and do all sorts of silly acts...why cant a dancing diva can come in an "item" number with the hero half of her age.

And I am sure it will be much better than all chikni, fevicol, sheila put together. at least she can DANCE...with some EXPRESSIONS. In 90's , those songs were called special performances, remember her song Makhna with Govinda and Amitabh. This tag of "item" song annoys me . It only suits someone like katrina, who can just shake her ass and boobs, nothing else.

And so wat if she left US to pursue her career. She supported her husband's career for first ten years of their marriage and now pursuing her own dreams. If her husband doesnt care, then why should we.

Just get your facts right before jumping the gun. She has received a lot of love and respect by doing JDJ from her fans and has been able to directly connect with her fans. I never watched JDJ before, but just coz of Madz I started watching JDJ and it gives us gr8 pleasure to watch her as a judge coz we get to see her real self and her dancing and charm and warmth.

And Y should she do what Sridevi is doing? They both her different lives and priorities and it's ridiculous to say she should do wht Sri is doing. To each her own.

Also nothing wrong if she wants to do different things like television, commercials, award shows or special appearances...it's her career and she knows best. Even the so-called super stars like the Khans have their hands in many pies and doing many things and being applauded for their business accumen, so Y can't Madz be appreciated for earning money the way she wants to, when she is way better than many of her male co-actors even now!

It's annoying seeing this regressive attitude towards a woman just coz she's in her 40s and wanting to do honest work. Such a condescending attitude really of ppl telling what she should and shouldn't do.

Simon Cowell is a judge on X factor. No one calls that 'shit work' in the US or UK. When item songs are so popular in Bollywood and she has the opportunity to do an item song, then we criticize her, because 'she has a reputation to maintain'.

Madz and many of the 90s actresses like Sri, Juhi, Kajol, Tabu are an extremely talented lot and they have aged as well if not better than their male co-stars, but it's sad to see tht they are resigned to the background and are expected to do character/mother/sister roles, and if someone dares to break the shackles they get termed as desperate and worse.

They all are mature intelligent people and know that they'll not be running-around-trees now, which was ridiculous even in their 20s. But I absolutely disagree tht they can't be central characters in movies coz not all ppl enjoy those ATTB movies tht r being churned out a dime a dozen where females have no part to play anyways, apart frm being eye-candies. I am glad tht Madz isn't accepting mother/ sister roles and waiting for central roles of substance and hence getting them too. I feel if anyone can break this regressive thought of women in their 40s and beyond not doing lead roles it's Madhuri as she still has a tremendeous fan-following and barring some, many are interested to watch her and the others in main leads.
