They need to seriously STOP sending Aamir films in
Sure they're different from other Bollywood films...but are they worth an Oscar? No they're not

indian cinema is not all about aamir khan and akshay kumar....! 😛😛😛😛

something called regional cinema as well, and there was also udaan this year, which was also a good movie... haven't seen LSD, so don't know about that... but there are other movies too, albiet low budget...!!

bias ki bhi limit hoti hai....! 😆😆😆 just because aamir portrays himself to be the most intelligent filmmaker in bollywood, doesn't mean he's the only one...!! 😛😛😛

Come on people India gets one entry and it does not have to be from Bollywood. indian cinema does not start and end with Bollywood.,We have plenty of great regional films. I am sure if the selection board wants to they can find a really good film that is worthy of an Oscar. Why they dont is the moot question to be asked. Nukta we posted at the same time with the same view. I should have just waited you save me a lot of typing on IF 😊

but yes, how can you explain that to some aamir fans...!

i really hope they don't send dhobi ghaat just for the heck of it next year, because it's an aamir movie... if it is good enough, then surely... why not... but they should also consider other regional movies and movies by other filmmakers, that are also just as good or better...!! 😛😛

Is it necessary to be rude to make one's point across? And please, "you" don't like being complied into one category for being a fan, neither does anyone else. If someone likes a certain celeb, that does not mean every opinion will be based on that love for the celeb.

i have given my answer already....its not aamir...but the jury's and associations job....i dont think aamir himself send his movies😕😕😆😆 and also he doesnt pretend to be anything....its all upaj by the media...the guy simply makes movies and they done well...i dont know wht happens in his personal life and have no business..

that is certain....if a small documenatary LIKE SMILE PINKEY👏...from india can win something at oscar......so we can make much much bigger...the juries need to wake up

But does the selection comittee change every year or is it the same set of folks who decide for years together ?

If it is the same set of people they will probably send Dobhi Ghaat next year.

Getting back on topic - its ok for Aamir to be disappointed afterall its his movie. Even at the Oscars I have heard that a lot of lobbying goes on for the awards. The production houses spend a lot of money to publicize their movie etc. So its not like Oscars is sparkling white and our award shows are filthy black. There were some idiotic Oscar winners in the past.
