I've never watched 'Bigg Boss': Sapna Bhavnani

Celebrity hair dresser Sapna Bhavnani, whose clientele includes cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and John Abraham, has entered the "Bigg Boss 6" house, but says she is not a TV person and has never watched the reality show.

Celebrity hair dresser Sapna Bhavnani, whose clientele includes cricketerMahendra Singh Dhoni and John Abraham, has entered the "Bigg Boss 6" house, but says she is not a TV person and has never watched the reality show.

"I have no idea who is in the house and I never asked who all are in the house. I love surprises and I want to be surprised. I am a person who does not watch TV neither do I read newspapers," Sapna told IANS before entering the house Sunday.

"I have never watched a single episode of 'Bigg Boss' so far. So this is quite new to me and I am excited about it, as I have no clue about the rules of the house. I thought I will never get a platform as big as this," said the hairstylist who loves to meet strangers.

Yes, she is nervous but at the same time excited too.

"I love strangers, I love to meet them and interact with them on a personal level," she said.

Thanks to the ugly fights and bad language, the last season of "Bigg Boss" was shifted from the prime time slot to late night slot.

The sixth edition that went on air Sunday, has 14 celebs and a common man, and is being beamed on Colors from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

But Sapna says arguments and storms are expected in this kind of set up.

"When you put so many people together, controversies are bound to happen... this season a lot of things have changed and will be for youth and family audience," she said.

Last time Sapna had turned down the offer.

"Last time when the 'Bigg Boss' team approached me, I turned down their offer as I felt I was too cool for the Indian audience. Later I realised this was my misconception. Now I realise that I just have to be myself and enjoy," she said.

What's unique about Sidhu in Bigg Boss?
Navjot Singh Sidhu
The much awaited reality show Bigg Boss 6 debuted on Colors TV last night and the house saw a myriad of individuals coming together to battle it out for the next 90-100 days.

Perhaps one of the most interesting contestants on the show is Navjot Singh Sidhu. Sidhu who has traveled the world to conquer stadiums near and far, who has seen the world of politics, whose laughter has echoed throughout the nation would be one of the wisest contestant of the Bigg Boss House. As they say, the more a person explores the world, the wiser he becomes.

Sources inform that the former cricketer has decided to bring a host tangibles from his travels across the world to the Bigg Boss house. One of these items is the Jordanian dates that Sidhu has been relishing and the clothes that he wears are imported from London. But the former Indian batsman has not lost touch with his athletic side and is reported to have been wearing a lot of sportswear in the house.

Will Sidhu survive the competition with his humour, wit and sarcasm? Well it's only the beginning yet. Only time will tell!

Navjot Singh Siddhu to enter bigg boss 6

Former cricketer and TV personality Navjot Singh Siddhu hopes to bring positivity in the "Bigg Boss" house. He promises to be his real self on the show as he believes it is hard to pretend for long.

"I am going inside the house with a crystal clear mind and hope to convert it into a positive and resonating show with my stint," Siddhu, the BJP member of parliament from Amritsar, told IANS on phone from Mumbai, before entering the house Saturday.

"I don't see it as a controversial show, rather it will be an entertaining show this time. You will see a metamorphesis happening this time. I have taken a challenge," he added.

Siddhu will be locked inside the house with 14 other contestants for three months without any connection with the outside world.

Others in the house will be Sana Khan, Vrijesh Hirji, founder of Gulaab Gang Sampat Pal,Urvashi Dholakia, Aashka Goradia, Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Yadav, celebrity hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani, Delnaz Paul, cartoonist-activist Aseem Trivedi, Sayantani Ghosh, Rajev Paul, models Niketan Madhok, Karishma Kotak and a commoner Kashif Quereshi.

Siddhu, who is popular for his oratory skills and is known to be a social animal, revealed that the audience will get to see the real side of him on the show, which went on air Sunday.

"Many people don't know who the real Siddhu is. I am a person who likes to be close to himself. I am a teetotaler, I don't have onion or garlic and I don't even eat grains. There are a lot of hidden aspects of my personality that people don't know about. This is right up my alley. I will be myself and create my own space," he said.

"There is no point in masquerading yourself, because your real self can't be hidden for long in the show. Eventually, it will come out, the mask has to fall," he added.

He revealed his children advised him "against going in the 'Bigg Boss' house". Siddhu, says he was offered the show before, but couldn't take it up because of work.

"I am eagerly looking forward to my stint in the house. I was offered it before but it couldn't do it because of politics. This is something different. I have been active on TV every now and then. While TV is my profession, politics is my mission," he said.

Asked if he goes to the house with any strategies in mind, Siddhu said: "I really don't have any strategy in mind. I take life as it comes."

Known for her fight for women's rights, 'Bigg Boss' show contestant Sampat Pal is upset that the makers of Madhuri Dixit starrer 'Gulab Gang' have not sought her permission to make the film. It was reported that the film 'Gulab Gang' was based on Pal, who heads a women's group (called Gulabi Gang) in Uttar Pradesh's Bundelkhand region and takes up the cause of women facing violence, domestic and social problems.

"I will not let the film to be released before my permission," Pal told PTI, before entering the 'Bigg Boss' house. "I feel she (Madhuri) should meet me once before the shooting begins. It is not that I will not give permission to make a film based on me. I feel that if she has not seen or met me in real life, how can she portray the role on screen with justice," she said.

The film has been written and will be directed by Soumik Sen and is produced by Anubhav Sinha of 'Ra. One' fame. "I came to know that a film called 'Gulab Gang' is being made and will be based on my life and my organisations' work. They have not met me, nor did they seek my permission," Pal said.

IBNLive

Reportedly, director Soumik Sen had earlier said that the film is not based on Sampat Pal. However, he had agreed that he was aware of her work and had watched her documentaries. But according to him, his film is based on a newspaper report that spoke of women doing good work. The film is slated to go on floors this month and will be released on March 8 2013, on the International Women's Day.

Meanwhile, Pal said that she was a little hesitant in participating in 'Bigg Boss'. "When they had approached me for 'Bigg Boss', I was clueless about it. I told them I can't do it as I don't understand all these things. I like to be in my village and work for the poor-needy people...later I agreed to do it after they took me in confidence," she said.

"I feel my message will reach out to more people through this show. I would like to highlight issues like female infanticide, child marriage and dowry. Girls should be given education, treat boys and girls equally, I would like to promote this message," she said

Common man adds fuel to fury

In an outburst owing to the nomination, Sapna started ridiculing the idea of dancing and proving oneself.

"I am a different kind of woman, i can't show cleavage. I would die if ever i have to show my skin for something as petty as a reality show"

And this is what the audience was waiting to see! Bigg Boss Season-6, which started as a family oriented show, saw its first heated argument, in less than 24 hours.

After being nominated by the housemates Sapna-Karishma, Dinesh-Aseem, and Sana-Sampat were given one more chance to save themselves by impressing the Captain of the house, Niketan, with their dance. Unfortunately for the other two nominated teams, Sana Khan won the challenge and was declared safe for the week.

Karishma looked upset and depressed for not being able to save herself and Sapna from the nomination. In an outburst owing to the nomination, Sapna started ridiculing the idea of dancing and proving oneself. She retorted by saying that not everybody can dance. "Me, Sampat and Aseem are activists, we could have never done what Karishma and Sana could do" Sapna stressed. She said that it was unfair to judge different poeple on the basis of same talent. "I am a different kind of a woman, I can't show my cleavage. I would die if ever i have to show my skin to win a stupid thing like nomination," She added that it was all nanga naach and she would never do it even if it sells.

She was just venting her concern out, when Kashif jumped into the conversation by saying that she meant to say that Sana and Karishma are women of misplaced character or and weak upbringing. His statement started taking the conversation into a more controversial when Sapna asked him to shut up and go out.

What started as a simple conversation became a heated argument because the common man, Kashif added fuel to Sapna's fire and went on to brainwash Karishma against her.

Bigg Boss Season 6, Day 2

Bigg Boss Season 6, Day 2Tuesday, October 09, 2012 |

Confessions, Denials, Promises and Birthdays balance out Day 2 at Bigg Boss house

It's only the second day and it looks like the housemates are already starting to get cozy with each other. Aashka a common friend to Rajev and Delnaaz is seen providing shoulder to the estranged couple by sharing a light hearted joking session with Rajeev and alongside having heartfelt conversations with Delnaz. During this, Delnaz mentions that she is over Rajeev and he is like any ordinary man to her.

On the other hand, Kashif is looking at every opportunity to get cozy with Karishma and this is very evident when Kashif calls Karishma a 'fresh fruit in the garden of Eden'. But it also seems that his nature is getting annoying for the other housemates who are making fun of his cheesy lines (like above) and infuriating conversations. Kashif having sensed some bitterness from Rajeev's side mentions to Aseem that Rajeev has created confusion between him and Karishma which has spoiled their friendship. However, all's well in Kashif's paradise as in the end, the self proclaimed charmer manages to win back Karishma's friendship.

Day 2 also witnessed the first fight between a celebrity and the common man. Kashif accused Urvashi of being rude to him and pointed out that by doing this she was being rude to the entireaam janta. This got on Urvashi's nerves who point blank denied it by justifying that just because she is a known face that doesn't mean she is not a part of the aam janta!

Another pair that is bonding in the house is Sidhu and Rajeev. During one of their sessions, Sidhu promises Rajeev that he will take the onus of getting Delnaaz and him together again. To further this cause, Sidhu praises Rajeev in front of Delnaz and vouches for the genuine love to her.

In the meanwhile, Sapna in the confession room confesses that of all the housemates, she likes Assem as her wavelength matches his perfectly. In the midst of all this bonding, Niketan's birthday surprise brings a smile on everyone's. While Niketan is called in the confession room by Bigg Boss, everyone decorates the house using birthday material provided by Bigg Boss which included some birthday caps, balloons, a message board for wishes. Being a cartoonist, Aseem is asked by Bigg Boss to make a painting as a gift from all the housemates.

At the end of the day, Bigg Boss announces a 24 hour weekly task which is bound to keep the housemates on their feet throughout the night and well into the day.

, but the ones that are generating the most curiousity are Rajeev Paul and Delnaaz Irani. Everyone has their eyes and ears open to know what will happen between this estranged couple.

In the first two days itself, there have been many interesting moments between Rajeev and Delnaaz, with Rajeev trying to initiate talking with Delnaaz, and Delnaaz giving him a cold shoulder. So all his efforts to talk to Delnaaz have failed. But don't worry Rajeev, you now have a helping hand in this 'Mission Reconciliation'. And it is none other that Sherry paaji, aka Navjot Singh Sidhu.

If you think he is an unlikely accomplice to have, you won't be too much off the mark. Sidhu, who is Rajeev's partner in Bigg Boss, didn't have any idea that Delnaaz was Rajeev's ex-wife till the show started. He was even surprised when Rajeev refused to nominate Delnaaz in the confession room.

But once Sidhu came to know about their relationship status, Sidhu will go all out to get the former couple together.
In today's episode, you'll see Sidhu probing Rajeev about reconciling with Delnaaz. When Rajeev expresses his helplessness about Delnaaz not responding to him, Sidhu will be seen taking on the mantle of being Cupid and getting the former couple back together. Sidhu will be seen saying with complete conviction,"I'll get the two of you back together". Now that's quite a promise to make!

Inside the Bigg Boss house, Rajeev has been seen stealing looks at his ex-wife and trying to talk to her. What's more, he was alse praying that he gets along with the 'special housemates'. Now who's that special housemate is anybody's guess!

On the other hand, Delnaaz is ignoring Rajeev for the most part, answering in single words whenever he talks to her. So our Sidhu paaji has quite a difficult task ahead of him. Let's see if Rajeev and Delnaaz's takes a turn for the better with this Cupid's help!
