Bigg Boss 6: Sayantani Ghosh likens Niketan Madhok to 'venomous snake'

Mumbai: TV actress Sayantani Ghosh - who has become the third celebrity to be evicted from sixth edition of Bigg Boss -- says model Niketan Madhok is the most dangerous contestant inside the house.
Asked by host Salman Khan who she feels is the most dangerous contestant, she said: "Niketan is a venomous 'naag' inside the house."
On being prodded by 'Tiger; Khan, the TV 'Nagin' said: "Niketan surely knows the art of attacking someone at the right time... He is a good player and playing the game with utmost filth."
She also took a jibe at Rajiv Paul, saying "He should leave his habit of poling his nose in everybody's afairs... By discussing his personal life, he has become a butt of joke inside the house. He should realise that he is just a contestant for Delnaaz Irani. He should behave like a man."
Stating she wasn't prepared to be out of the reality show so soon, said she got caught in an unusual situation which led to her eviction this week.
"This week, the contestants had to vote for two people they wanted to save, instead of the people they wanted out. I got caught in that situation. It was unfortunate. I wasn't prepared for an eviction so soon," Sayantani said.
The 'Nagin' actress said she put in a lot of hard work inside the house and did the tasks to her best, which would have worked in her favour had it been a normal process of eviction. "I did not do anything wrong. I am a very patient person and I gelled well with the other housemates. I worked hard and performed well at the tasks," she said.
Sayantani said she wanted to stay in the house for longer as the show is a good platform for a celeb. "Three weeks is a very short time, but I think I got noticed. The show is a good platform and this season no major controversy has cropped up so far."
The actress, who juggles between hometown Kolkata and Mumbai for her work commitments, said co-contestant Aashka Goradia has the best chance at winning this season.

Bigg Boss housemates suffering because of Sidhu: Sayantani
Sayantani Ghosh

She's been voted out of the Colors channel's reality show Bigg Boss-6, but Sayantani Ghoshrefuses to be politically correct and toe the conventional line. Instead, the gutsy babe says, "If people had gone about the nomination process properly, I'm sure I won't have been nominated!"

Sidhuism creating chaos

According to Sayantani, she respects Navjot Singh Sidhu as a human being, but adds: "The fact is that everybody is suffering because of Sidhu ji. He must realize that his so-called morality fundas are creating chaos in the house and innocent people are getting punished! That's very unfair! I know one thing for sure that I worked my ass off and washed god knows how many utensils every day. Sidhu ji ki dilly-dallying ki wajah se ghar ka mahaul bigadta hai! Before entering the show, we all knew that we have to nominate people every week, and it is not tantamount to bitching. Even Salman Khan ticked Sidhu ji for not playing by the rules."

Sapna ko mata type aati hai

Speaking of Salman, what does she have to say about the verbal spat between Salman and Sapna? "I don't think Salman can be blamed for that! He was only pointing out her flaws and he has the authority to do that. In fact, he handled the situation so well. I feel Sapna is really confused and full of contradictions! Sometimes she would be very sweet in the house and at other times, she would be so weird! Unko mata types aati hai! In the first week, she taunted me and Sana, saying 'Main nange kapde pehen ke dance nahin kar sakti! And then a couple of days later, she was happily prancing around in a bikini," she says.

Rajiv is desperate to be seen

And what does the lady feel about Rajiv Paul - Delnaz love story that's being showcased in the show on the Colors channel? She replies without any hesitation: "I feel Delnaz is handling herself with lots of grace and she's made it clear that for her, he's just a co-contestant, it's Rajiv who's desperate to be seen! He knows it's his last resort. But the fact is that they have been divorced for two years, so what was he doing for so long? Why this drama now?"

Sampat Pal is unhygienic

Sayantani has an interesting take on Gulabi Gang chieftain Sampat Pal Singh and model Karishma Kotak too. "Sampat ji is entertaining, but she has some very unhygienic habits. She washes utensils and cooks with the same unclean hands, and that's very disturbing! Since nobody wants to hurt her feelings, people just tolerate that! Karishma on the other hand, is very smart! She acts well and gets away with that innocent babe act! But, she's playing double games," says she.

I wasn't prepared for this eviction: Sayantani
Sayantani with Salman Khan
In her short stint of three weeks, Sayantani Ghosh has been one of the most calm and adjusting housemates of the Bigg Boss house. The actress had struck a good rapport with all the inmates and actively participated in household chores and tasks. Excerpts from an interview with the actress.

How does it feel to get out of the Bigg Boss house? It feels good. I met my family after so long. I also came to know that during this time my father underwent a surgery; his kidney had to be removed. So now, I can be with him.

Given a chance, would you like to go back to Bigg Boss house again? I was not prepared for this early eviction. I wanted to stay more and I really enjoyed those three weeks that I was inside. So given a chance I would happily go back.

Why do you think you were eliminated? Firstly, I wasn't nominated the normal way, for whatever reasons. When I was eliminated, the rule was to pick up two people you would like to save and not those two you'd want eliminated. We were seven people in the house who were working hard, so maybe the people saved those six, who were working harder. Had it been the other way, my name wouldn't have been picked up. Also, I expected a lot of votes from Bengal, especially Kolkata. I Guess it didn't come because it was Durga Puja and people were busy enjoying the festival.

Your experience in the house. It was like a roller coaster ride. Sometimes it was emotional, at other times it felt like I was back to school. It was fun because I got to do things I wouldn't otherwise have done. I think I have learnt a lot. It made me realize how much I had taken my near and dear ones for granted. I am more mentally prepared for tough situations. It was basically a smaller version of the society, which has people you like and don't like and how you manage. It was a balancing act, to gel with different people and different thought processes.

Tell us one happy and sad moment inside the house. There were fun moments. I loved it when I was made to sing. I didn't know I could sing that well. I was even called the FM channel of the house. I didn't like people fighting over coffee and food. It was very foolish. This time I had planned to spend Pujas in Kolkata, so I regret having missed it.

You were very close to Delnaaz Irani. What do you think Rajiv Paul is doing? Is he really in love with his ex-wife? From the very beginning, Delnaaz has handled her divorce gracefully. To her, Rajiv is just another contestant. But Rajiv has been overreacting and everybody is literally laughing about it. He is just doing all this to hog the limelight. Come on, wooing your ex-wife is unbelievable.

Who do you think will win this season? I think Vrajesh should win because he is the most genuine person out there. He is entertaining by nature and is not doing it for the camera. If he has a point of view, he also has the courage to honestly put it across in front of everyone.

One contestant you didn't like. Sampatji. She gets on to your nerves. Her lifestyle is also very unhygenic. She refuses to listen to anybody and doesn't care about anyone. For example, if there is a crisis of food, she will come and eat everything while others end up under eating. Not that she doesn't realize, because she is very intelligent otherwise. It is just very difficult to tackle her.

When is the wedding bell ringing for you? I want to get married by next year, but nothing has been decided as of now.

Bigg Boss 6: Cartoonist Aseem Trivedi likely to be expelled

Mumbai: Colors TV has said it would expel 'controvetrsial' cartoonist Aseem Trivedi from sixth edition of India's biggest reality drama Bigg Boss soon.
Ramdas Athawale, president of the Republican Party of India (Athawale), had sought Trivedi's expulsion as the cartoonist had "hurt the sentiments" of the Dalit community with his cartoons that had "grossly insulted" the national emblem and other constitutional symbols.
The channel had agreed to remove Trivedi from the show on coming Friday, following a meeting with the channel's representatives, The Hindu reported.
"Following the assurance given by Colors TV [to remove Trivedi], we have decided to put off our October 29 agitation against the reality TV show," the paper quoted Athawale as saying.
He had earlier warned the channel for giving the cartoonist 'undue prominence'.
The 25-year-old cartoonist, whose sedition charges had recently been revoked by the Maharashtra government, had debuted on Season 6 of the TV show.

Bigg Boss 6: Sayantani Ghosh thinks that Sidhu converted the house into a moral science class

The actor rose to fame with a show called Naaginn on Zee TV. A decently popular face on Indian television, this Bong chick claims that she's proud about leaving the Bigg Boss house with dignity and grace

It came as a surprise to us when we heard the calm and composed Sayantani-who we saw in the Bigg Boss 6 house-express herself so vehemently while having a chat with us. She spoke her mind without any hesitation and kept an arm's length from the 'no comments' strategy. She is articulate, level-headed and knows how to handle the seamy side of situations- wonder why we didn't get to see this avatar of hers on the show- well, she tells us why

How was your stay in the Bigg Boss 6 house?

It was good, although a li'l short. I could have stayed longer. Unfortunately because the usual nomination process wasn't followed in the third week, I ended up becoming the victim. Sidhujiconsiders this whole process of voting out two people as a very negative approach, which is why the rules were altered and every person started voting for the two people who they wanted to save. That's what didn't work in my favour.

Who's your favourite contestant on the show and why?

It has to be Vrijesh Hirjee 'coz I think he's a real person. Although I am very close to Delnaaz, but Vrijesh is my favourite. He is an entertainer, he's fun and I like the way he puts forward his opinions in a dignified way. There are house mates who think something and say something else, but Vrijesh is someone who's very genuine.

Who do you see as the potential winner of the house, and in this matter what does your heart say, and also tell us what does your head say?

I would want Vrijesh to go till the end- that's what my heart says. In my head I think someone who's playing a very smart and neat game is Aashka Goradia. She knows the game in and out and she also knows how to keep her house mates happy at the same time.

But she's the one who's having most of the fights as of now?

She knows that being a part of controversies works in your favour. She's also a part of the cooking team and is winning everybody's hearts at the same time, so that indicates that she's playing the game very cleverly.

Salman Khan often said that you are the quietest member on BB6, so do you take time to open up? You think this is one of the reasons for your eviction?

Honestly it's a 24 hour activity and they can't show everything. It's just a one hour show at the end of the day. I am not a quite person. I have danced, sang with people, entertained, joked around, and that's the kind of masala I can provide. But when it comes to arguments and fights I will only raise my voice if I feel the need to do so. If somebody personally attacked me, I would have voiced my opinion. But in my case I gelled well with everybody. So if Urvashi and Rajev are having a fight to seek attention, I don't see myself doing the same. For me the idea of providing masala is not deliberately fighting. I have been open but maybe all that hasn't been shown on TV, what has been shown were things like people fighting over petty issues like eggs and coffee…

There must be moments when you have really lost your temper but somehow controlled it?

The very first week Sapna Bhavnani passed a very lame comment after seeing a contestant's dance performance. She said that she doesn't see herself dancing around in such skimpy clothes and that she finds the whole thing very derogatory. And then the very next week or so, she was seen wearing a bikini in the pool. I thought she contradicted herself and at times her comments used to be very lame. You can't be prejudiced towards item gals; that wasn't right according to me.

And Sidhu ji converted the house into a moral science class. If I am talking about Satyamev Jayate, people know what the show is all about. People know what to expect from a show like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. So when you have come to Bigg Boss, I think it's fine to put forth your ideologies in front of people but please understand it's not Sanskaar channel, it's just an entertaining game.

You must be very courageous to give your nod to the show especially when most people dread entering the house…

Yes, I had apprehensions. But when I spoke to my closed ones they were very encouraging. They know the kind of mental strength I have. My only fear was that I shouldn't utter something impulsive that would hurt my family. And Bigg Boss is just a part of my career, it's not the end.

Bigg Boss 6: After Karishma, Sapna is Niketan's latest love?

Mumbai: Cubid is on a strike at Bigg Boss house! On Day 19, Sapna Bhavnani confided into Karishma Kotak about her feelings for Niketan Madhok. She told her that Niketan has been hitting on her for quite sometime and even she likes him.
While everybody knows that TV actors Rajeev Paul and Delnaaz Irani parted ways legally a few months back, models Niketan Madhok and Karishma Kotak were also a couple. Bigg Boss 5 contestant Pooja Bedi revealed the same on Twitter lately. While talking to Navjot Singh Sidhu last week, Urvashi Dholakia said that Niketan and Karishma know each other from long and there might be something else as well.
Niketan and Karishma are often seen together inside the Bigg Boss house. She even broke down once in front of Niketan while talking about her father, who is not keeping well.
Amidst all the leg pulling, Salman Khan on Saturday reprimanded the contestants for their behaviour on the show. With Navjot Singh Sidhu and Sapna Bhavnani's decision to not nominate contestants for elimination, Salman asked the contestants to take the show in the right spirit. Sapna got into a spat with Salman and said she isn't on the show for money.
With the dynamics of the game changing with each episode, it would be interesting to see as to what happens next in this house.

Two evictions on Bigg Boss 6 this week

The Bigg Boss 6 inmates are in for a surprise this week. Unlike each week when one housemate would get evicted, two of them will be shown the door this time.

The celebrity contestants nominated for eviction this week include Gulab Gang leader Sampat Lal, controversial cartoonist Aseem Trivedi, model Karishma Kotak and hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani.

They will be told about the double eviction on Monday's episode, said a source.

The reality show began with 15 contestants, and so far three of them -- Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Yadav, commoner Kashif Qureshi and actress Sayantani Ghosh -- have already been voted out by the viewers.

Around 5,000 marchers, led by Republican Party of India chief Ramdas Athavale, went up to the Bigg Boss home in Lonavala Oct 25, demanding eviction of Trivedi, who had earlier grabbed headlines for sketching cartoons denigrating Indian constitution and other symbols.

The final result will be announced on Friday on Colors channel.
