The many faces of Rahul Mahajan
All the evicted 'Bigg Boss' housemates say that Mahajan Jr. is a master mover. They have even gone on record saying that he plays the game like a chess player. Everything is analyzed to the last detail before he makes a move. He plays his cards really close to his heart and in fact, considers himself the winner of 'Bigg Boss', they allege.
'Bigg Boss' Season 2 on Colors is the talk of the town. Some say it is scripted, some say it's as real as it gets…A few like Sanjay Nirupam lambast the show and some, like Ketki Dave, call it a soap opera where every housemate is playing a part assigned to each one of them.
But they say in unison that Rahul is the chief mover and shaker in the reality show. But who is the real Jr. Mahajan? Is he the cutie pie that Shilpa Shetty so fondly calls him as or is he the schemer that Sambhavana makes him out to be?
The only person who probably knows this best is his childhood friend and ex-wife Shweta. They tied the knot just three months after the untimely death of Rahul's father, Pramod Mahajan. There were whispers about the chinks in their relationship even before the couple had settled into matrimony. The media went into an overdrive about their relationship and it was reported that Shweta had moved into her parents' place just two months after their marriage. Was Rahul Mahajan a wife-beater? What had gone wrong between the couple who had known each other for a decade?
Shweta Mahajan, now Shweta Singh, is still trying to come to terms with her divorce. In a recent interview with a popular magazine, she said, "Ketki Dave, while talking to someone on the show, has already mentioned that everyone is acting here. I am quite convinced of that. I do not want to go in front of the camera and do some kind of acting. I do not require any kind of medium to highlight myself and talk about my personal life. Besides this, it is painful to scratch a wound repeatedly. It hurts me always," she says.
When we spoke to Shweta Singh about if this indeed is the real Rahul Mahajan, she said, "Everybody is there with some kind of an image. Everybody is acting and trying to clear up their mess. Therefore, I cannot comment particularly on anyone." And when we mentioned the intimacy that Rahul was showing to Monica Bedi and Payal, she bristled and said, "I don't need to say anything on this. And I don't really care whom he is moving around with. I am Shweta Singh and I choose not to have any connection with the Mahajan tag."
The housemates – Sambhavana and Ketki - have stated that his seemingly soft behaviour is merely a front and that he has far too many layers.
