It was amazing. Recently I came to India and we went to kundrathur. In the bottom of the temple, towards the side there is an ancient temple which is taken care by ASI. No people come there but it was so nice. You can see the old tamil script ( Brahmi script) all over the pillars and steps. U have panchaloga sivan and in one corner, u can hear superb echo ( oongaram) .. That Brahmi script was too difficult to read, didn’t understand most of the letters. Then we went to thirumalai nayackar mahal, there they have kept the older Brahmi script and the recent corresponding letters, very fascinating to read.Me and husband likes these type of history related stuff.

I am so amazed at the find in keeladi .. it breaks the myth that tamil comes from Sanskrit.

If you are washing by hands be conscious about the soap you use because now bleach which is chlorine is included in the powder .

I hold the soap too tigtly while applying on clothes..

Episode was fun, mainly because of Sandy. He is a good entertainer . Someone here told they are VTV sleeper cells to steer the show as per the channel's decision. Looks like that's true. Sandy trailing behind in unofficial polls is surprising.

So next week kavin should leave.

I think others oaralavukku ozhungaa seivaanga nu.. Tharsh, Mugen and all have been in cooking team earlier with Vanitha .. Los kooda thaniyaa cooked sambhar in her ooru style.. Sherin ku north Indian style cooking theriyum..

That stone is perfect for washing clothes . They call it padithurai. Fresh manjal also smells very good . Every summer vacation I will be in patti house . My patti used to wake me up early in the morning to bath in pond before it gets too bright . Sometimes I have bathed with thanni paambu too . My summer was spent mostly in woods . Cleaning cow shed and removing the oomi ( rice skin) . One year I had to remove tamarind skin maybe 50 big saaku mootai. No tv only had to listen to radio . No need to go to gym too . All those boiling rice to remove skin and seperating task is so much work . Finally thanni has to be carried in hips in kudam ..

I too had some issues with detergent soaps and powders.. now for few years I'm using a soap called SABARI, made from 100% vegetable oil.. costly laam illai.. I think it's 10 Rs cake.. my mom found it on nearby grocery store just to try it.. from that time, I'm using only that.. recent ah my mom shifted to Patanjali soap after trying it.. adhuvum nallaa dhaan irukku..

PS : I'm not advertising.. just sharing my experience 😉

It is scary but my paatti used to say no poison in thanni pambu . I had a adventurous childhood pa . But now the house is locked . The problem is as we go out for better opportunities very difficult to go back to village life . My thaatha lived late 90s and paatti lived till 80s . I have never seen them sick . They both were hale and healthy . She was very religious too . On thursdays I had to clean all Poojal items using thenga naaru, tamarind and sand . Even if small black dot my paatti used to send it back . Actually I wish my kids could experience that life . Tasknnu enga paatti mathiri yarum kudukka mudiyathu
