The past year, had been so eye opening for me. You know I was this girl who was detached and sheltered so seeing the women (few I had admired and adored all my life) unraveling because of their husbands was the most heartbreaking thing for me. Emotional or verbal abuse and just plain trauma they go through is just unimaginable.
When women like Antara, who have been married for so long, are shown that way, I know it’s not easy.. in fact, it’s unfathomable for them to stand up for themselves. Yesterday, I didn’t blame her for not leaving him. I know where she is coming from.
exactly these women are conditioned to be submissive. They are trained to please the sasural walas and anything she does otherwise would be against the shaan of her family.
Also the patriarchial view of women being ghat ki izzat. I'm so done with this. These people leave the guys unwarranted and free and load us women with all those responsibilities. I didn't know, that people are that interested to put their izzat in a woman's vagina.
They worship the same durga ma and disrespect her forms only. Like in the show.
These husbands are nothing but man-childs.
People who say that according to women all women are abused or been mistreated are so close to the point.
I've literally seen a relative of mine so callously treated by her in-laws that's she was literally on death bed and the worst thing was the deadbeat husband was devoid of any remorse.
