Does anybody watch the Zee Bangla show called Aparajita Apu? It's one helluva regressive show, albeit with a seemingly "positive" storyline about the female lead becoming a government officer despite her conservative, domineering mom-in-law stringently opposing it.

Here the male lead's family is shown straight out of the 19th century, with meek daughter-in-laws treated like garbage by the vampish "masimoni" (Mom-in-law's sister), and the female lead constantly being belittled and treated like roadside trash.

Ekdom typical saas-bahu fare.
