well, i couldn't believe my ears when i heard anandi doling out all that crap about how sanchi would've never allowed a guy to get close to her if she were in her senses... well well, poor anandi can never know what her dear lill sis-in-law's capable of ...

anyway, while rape is completely & absolutely deplorable & horrendous...not to mention, diabolical... the kind of crap her family members kept doling out really creeped me... what a rape victim (i prefer the term survivor, though) needs is for her family to stop making her feel victimized & instead, just support her & encourage her & motivate her to lead a normal life...and make sure that the devils that ravaged her are brought to book...

i know, it's easier said than done , specially for the survivor's family (especially since everyone's so wary of their reputation & stature in samaaj 😡) ...it's time the CVs show these changes in their show...

and also it's high time that people stop bashing consensual sex between two adults & painting it as a crime & equating it with rape... rape & consensual sex are two completely different things, for God's sake !!

There is a difference AND similiarity in date rape and rape .

In a rape or gang rape the woman is forced down and the physical force of holding her down when she fights back often leads to violence like hitting her , breaking her teeth while slapping , scratches etc besides the actual act .

Date rapists have a different mentality . They , 90% of the time , do NOT want this nuisance [ according to them , the woman fighting back is a nuisance ]. They want absolute compliance from the woman . They want to enjoy the sex peacefully . Their mentality is that the woman is their slave who will do their bidding . They record 90% of the time and play the recording again and again for sexual titillation . Some put it on the net . Some blackmail .

Often the girl wakes up simply with a heavy head , not realising that her body was tampered with , but sensing something wrong .

Sometimes date rapists do it with their victim till they tire of her and move on to the next prey . She simply does not understand what game is being played with her . On the face , date rapists r charmers and give woman the answers she would love to hear .

Date rapists feel that rape in the normal way is stupid when one can get much more this way AND not be caught .

They r experts in various date rape drugs and exactly how much amount must be used for the woman to blank out and yet wake up and go home without an overdose that may be trouble for them .

The similiarity lies only in the mentality that woman is a commodity to be controlled . The way of execution is very different .

Date rapists r dangerous coz many times they r not found out at all . They r very careful about covering their tracks well .

Saanchi may not find marks on her body and if she does , puzzling mild scratches , one or two.

Really? You keep trying relentlessly to justify her rape by a variety of methods. Sometimes by calling her an "elite who does not deserve sympathy", bringing up her past behaviour with Jagya, even going to the extent of changing the history of the show (Sanchi pressurized Jagya into the engagement 😳). So how is one supposed to interpret these? Pray tell.

Sanchi needed no drugs to surrender. The CVs want to protect shekhars reputation by making sanchi the innocent victim. They dont have guts to show sanchi willingly committing that act.

This point is acceptable but then we must remember that nothing justifies rape. It is a crime and shall remain whoever the woman is. Even if it was a consensual sex and the man would later ditch her, I see that an equally immoral thing on the man's part. Her equation with other characters is altogether a different issue. As a woman I condemn rape.

Sometimes I fail to understand where is balika vadhu going btw?There is nothing left about child marriages anymore but they are fighting other social issues these days.

Seetha, I feel you are too good to be amidst wolves and other carnivores. These forums sometimes turn into battlefields with blood and gore which I hate. I feel like why should I fight with others over fictional characters?
