I felt very sorry for Shiv today. He is not a robot to suddenly think on his blessings of being brought
Up in a good family. Poor guy is shattered. I would be too ,in his place. Thst is why adoption agencies
Instucts the parents adopting the child to disclose the truth when the child is a little old enough
To understand. All ths must ave been thought thru by psychologists.
In fact i shudder to think how devastated Ira would be when she knows that the child she adored
and raised was not her real child. She will feel very insecure. She will be scared that she might
Lose Shiv's affection.Specially now, when her other child Sanchi is in a horrible shape.her only
Solace was Shiv.

Someone in my family did the same thing with their kids. Didn't tell them that they were adopted when it was an open secret. (Even I knew when I was 10 that their real parents are both siblings of the parents). The adopted children just found out at the daughter's wedding and its a mess. The son has moved out and refuses to talk to his parents. And no one blames them for feeling so betrayed. It's a very logical reaction.

I think this devastated state of mind of Shiv is perfect for any human who has discovered that he's been an adopted kid to his parents in his thirties.
Understanding such a persons situation is really hard since you need to think yourself in their shoes.,
His reaction was very natural and so was his tears.,

He is devastated and at that time reactions are not usually logical.
He grew up thinking that Shekhars are his family. Suddenly he is faced with this scenario where he doesn't know who he is anymore.
He feels angry betrayed because they have not told him who he actually is and he is staring at a huge blank space. He feels the need to fill that space.

His logic may tell him why Shekhars tried to keep it away from him and he knows that they considered him as their son.

Right now he is faced with this question and his very identity is a big question mark.
He is not sure what made him what he is.
So all this anger directed at his parents and curiosity to know where he came from.

He is all mixed up and his reaction will lack sense till he finds himself back on his feet again.

I feel shiv's reaction is normal like any other human,i can understand his pain and also beautifully executed by sid but the whole scene was ruined by toral's pathetic acting and expressions,i really missed prats in that scene,i cant see Anandi in toral yesterday ,she is just reading the dialogs without any expressions, totally flat scene.please cvs show emotional between meenu and shiv it will be awesome but without toral.she spoiled the whole seq.🤢

my problem is not his reaction rather his mindset, as soon as he got to know that he is adopted, he longs for real parents, cries if alive or not, alienates his own family!
but he is gonna adopt as well, and plans on teliing when kid is 14 that ur adopted- a more turbulent age, so the kid will also think like that?? and he who raised him as own will be extra> so for shiv to adopt is wrong coz he will never consider him as real nor expect the kid to consider as real

Whar he did was so common and absolutel normal...he was thinking that the famly cheated him by hiding his real identity...so he dont feel like going to those people whom he is thinking cheated them...and we cant expect more also...when we suddenly comes to know we aare adoppted we really ll feel aloof and all the small things ll appear big...he is doing good...he ll gain his composure again after knowing about all the things...give him some time...he is also a human being...

This is the behaviour of 90% of the adopted child , but once they are counselled 50% settles down, 50% move away from the adopting parents.
And this is a fact, so CVs are bang on based on the facts.

My problem is the cause of his reaction. Torned page and mere convo with Anandi are NO SOLID proofs! Did he hear anything from Sarla himself or from any Shekhar? Did he see the birth records himself? No. Then how did he readily believe whatever Anandi said?

This level of reaction wthout solid proof was not understandable.

Otherwise there's no doubt that learning such a big truth would make anyone feel unsettled.

Shiv didn't investigate further to ascertain what the truth was. He didn't think Anandi could be mistaken or perhaps didn't verify the truth properly. He just saw the torned page and was shattered? Unconvincing.

And I agree that if he himself felt so bad then he should not adopt a child. Is it tougher to handle this "adopted" truth in one's teens or is it tougher to handle it at 30? At any age it is a hard truth to come to terms with.

I also agree it's going to hurt Ira the most. Daughter is mentally unstable. Son who she prided over is not her own. She'll go nuts. She already hates being lied to or not being made part of family decisions. She won't tolerate that she was living a lie for so many years.

I suspect Sanchi will first not accept this and blame Anandi for barking. But once the truth is ascertained she will grab this opportunity to put down Shiv and Anandi, call them paraya and trash her parents for sidelining her and ruining her life due to these "strangers" (she is not past what happened with her recently and she'll blow up further when she learns they've been consulting a psychiatrist and giving her meds without telling her).

Only Mahi will be supportive and won't mind the truth.
