This is totally baseless thread!!!!

People who do not have their facts right cannot just come and point fingers at a particular community!!!

So is the originator of the thread saying that...the people who used to rape women in raids used just pickup daughters of the family and leave the daughter in Laws?? or where the family simply honor bound to protect the virtues of their daughter in laws and not the daughters?? So they used to marry girls off in the young age?? and to whom?? another kid?? a child, who was suppose to protect the virtue of his child bride???

WHAT LOGIC IS THIS????? GET REAL!!!

If you want to blame it in another community then atleast bring in some logical reasons for this??!!!!

I think the thread needs to be closed!!

Anybody that compares Hun invasion to 800 years of Turk/Mughal rule needs some serious education.
Anyway, g'nite.

I guess the purdah pratha really became rampantly rigid (from what I've read) from the time of the invasions-m curtailing freedom of girls, but even before that- if you look at older documents- there is a lot of difference between attitudes to women in the Rigvedic period and in the later Vedic period. ManuSamhita, which comes from the later Vedic period declares that women are the property of the father in childhood, of the husband in youth and of the son in old age- which is, frankly, insulting?
ManuSamhita also suggests women should be married off before puberty so that they don't have the chance to form immoral ideas before being pledged to a man. There was this custom called GauriDaan for child marriage.

I'm engineer student and i dont know lot of world's history, but i know my religion, and i know some basic tips about history so it was normal that some empires made their rules according to that century and their targets, but how i said before, that doesnt mean that they are representing their religion in right way, people are not religon and if you want to know better about some religion dont look what are doing follows but read books and learn!!!

LOL, why are people taking so much umbrage to the term "Muslim rule"? Turks were Muslims, were they not? Funny.
