Wah...finally an episode evoked a post from you! 😳

Some bits I absolutely loved in yesterday's episode:

1. Abhi getting himself out of Meera friendzone by saying "hum best friends nahi hai", Meera needed that trigger from somewhere and glad that Abhi was the one who did it. It fitted perfectly somehow. She needed to have a different perspective to their relationship, or else she would have happily friendzoned him for life. Somehow this is still so much better than them bringing in a jealous angle for Meera's realization (which they did anyway and failed miserably 😆). This was more organic I felt. And this will now fit with what PJ was talking about the proposal scene- the dialogues involve something like Meera blaming Abhi for not telling her sooner 😆.

2. Meera reminiscing: So nicely done...both, the ankle sprain and the kheer thing. ND did great yesterday, she really showed a range of expressions 👏 full marks to director and editor bhaiyya for bringing in the much needed thehraav in these scenes, for letting her flow with the scenes, ND's eyes aren't as expressive as PJ's, so her expressions need to be handled with much more care...coz she cannot emote much or her emotions cannot reach the audience much if the scene is cut short before it's stipulated end point. Whereas PJ connects with just a mere 2 min scene coz he has got really expressive eyes. The direction was really good yesterday, hope it stays.

3. Abhi-Rohan-Amma scene: I liked it a lot. Amma getting emotional about the fact that Yograj hurt Roban and that Abhi is paying for her wrong doings or whatever, her instinct that something is wrong and Abhi confiding in her- I liked it all. Amma is a grey character for sure, but I still prefer her over Prahlad who is forever roaming around with a sadoo expression on his face as though he cares about nothing except his lameass status 🤔 . I was actually glad that Amma knows, because it would have been totally unrealistic to keep the entire secret from everybody (or more unrealistic than it actually is anyway 😆). Have a feeling- Amma will be one of the first ones to eventually accept Meera, she has already changed her mind about the type of person Meera is, her only problem is that Meera shouldn't motivate Abhi to leave the house like it happened with Yuvraj. Madhu will be the last one.

4. Feather udd kyun nahi raha: probably has to be the best scene of the episode for me. It had all the feels like the "remote control" waali analogy. So simple and yet deep, somehow. I interpreted it slightly different than you though- I feel the inability of the feather to fly around freely is because of the fact that it has finally found it's destination... Yahaan wahaan bina kuch soche bhatakne ke baad, Meera will finally go home...

Precap: Meera's giddy expressions upon "main apne ghar jaa rahi hoon" and shouting it to her own parents, that too...yeh ladki sach mein namoona hai! 😳 but it also reminded me of the time when she rushes out of the party after removing her heels. She is finally free to follow her own heart and just be happy like she always wanted to. ❤️

Female vocal dint fit meera..it was too heavy ..a very heavy rekha bharadwaajish or kavita sethish voice that wud fit someone matur like konkona or something..is choti si alhad si meera ke mind ki thinking mei toh fit hi nahi hui voice... .. Priyanshu joras eyes ..he uses them so softly sometimes.verry talented ..yeh aankhen n unka sparkle kuch dino se gaaya. Tha...kuch dino se both him ..his eyes n his complexion looked oily..mayb tiredness n the heat ... Anyway kal boht saaf suthra dhula dhula sa clean n clear lagg raha tha.. 😆 Mayb yesterday they got a green signal ki serial end nahi ho raha so mayb as u noticed new director or editor... Also theyograj story they thot wud pull up trps ...but it just fell flat ..

I second you!

I loooved the episode...esp. the flow of the episode..the sequences they bring in to show Meera's realization..pehle she was lost in her thoughts..didnt even notice she has reached until Abhishek woke her up! and the most khaas cheez was Abhi telling her they r not best friends..this is what I like about Abhishek..he is very clear in his head and doesnt want to get friendzoned to the girl he loves..matlab pyaar karo ya phir bhuul jao yeh dost wost mat banao!❤️ he is so unlike other leads who r happy getting friendzoned..he is doing everything for his family but at the same time u cannot call him "mahaan"..he has his own wishes and demands..perfectly sketched character..❤️
Abhishek jaate jaate bomb phek ke gaya..his hum best friends nahi hai wala line hit Meera right at the point..she was pehle se hi confused and he saying this triggered her confusion..I think she wouldnt even start thinking like this unless Abhi said that BFF wala line.

I looved the bit how Meera was connecting things..pehle kheer, phir sprained legs, dreaming Abhishek coming on bike..and then playing with feather...sooo beautiful!❤️ top of all ND ke amazing expressions!!👏 she did it so convincingly! Anita said it right that Meera is such a tubelight ke jisski subha bhi sham 6 baje hoti hai toh pyaar samajhne mein kitna waqt lagega!😆

cousins-bubbly scene was great! this is probably the only saas who is fighting tooth and nail to get her son's girl for him in his wedding day..sweetest!❤️

esp. mention, I loved the fact that it was not Radhika who made Meera realize her love..most of the shows use jealousy as a weapon but here Radhika was there but Meera did not feel jealous or such..I mean what proper jealousy is..we never saw her jealous in that way...it was Abhishek who triggered her thought..it was him who made her heart skip a bit..I loved this bit.

precap: the joy Meera had in her voice and face was such a treat to watch! she is going to HER home...awww
monday tak intezaar bhari padhega

P.S. the female voice doesnt suit Meera at all..and it is not even good to ear..I felt..lyrics r perfect for Meera but as u said I too want makers to stick to the instrumental bits for Meera..the male voice is sooo soothing and female voice spoils the mood of the song.

This bit was done beautifully by PJ...Abhi's heartbreak and love for Meera, both reflected in this yearning in his eyes:

The "Hum Best Friends nahin hain" bit had shades of the "Main nahin aaunga" scene from DDLJ...ofcourse without all the intensity of SRK's eyes😆

This was a beautiful shot:

Thanks for the caps...I love reliving abhishek n Meera moments

Meera exemplified the tubelight metaphor today. She was so zoned out during the bike ride😆. I wonder what she was thinking. I liked that Meera pointed out how dramatic Abhi was sounding. Awww, poor Abhi, his heartbroken expression was so on point when Meera said that she will keep the feather as it's special. I had a serious deja vu of sorts when Abhi said they're not best friends, but can't really point out what it reminded me of😆. The scene was beautiful. The following scenes with Meera asking relevant questions for once instead of her usual vague ones were also good. I especially liked the bit where she trips and then imagines Abhi, and the feather scene in airport.

Is Meera's dad good at anything other than being irritated at everything and shouting? I couldn't help but laugh when Meera was busy talking to Abhi and he was fuming impatiently in the background. Cartoon kahika! I was just thankful that the didn't barge in and start his usual, "Yeh Manager" crap...glad that Abhi-Meera could talk sukoon se without Daddy Weirdo interrupting.

Dadi is so annoying. While I still don't understand Abhi's decision to hide Yograj's truth from the family, I'm glad at least dadi knows the truth. But well, what use is that? She is still pushing Abhi under the bus. She is such a selfish, self-serving individual.

The cousins scene was so sweet. I wish they had added a few lines such as "bade bhaiya told you you that he is in love with Meera? We just teased him with her; and thought the family was overreacting about their relationship." I had assumed that they knew Abhi loved Meera. Well, I will just fill the gaps myself. I am also going to ignore just how happy the cousins looked during the sangeet. So Meera will be on her way to Devpur and cousins will be going to the airport? I hope they meet Meera somewhere in between and they come to the wedding together.

And special mention to driver uncle for contributing in Meera's introspecting when he said something like Devpur doesn't let you leave or something.

Overall, a very nice episode. Although the time frame of wedding functions does not make any sense, but well all I care about is good Abhi and Meera scenes. Exactly...give me good Abhi-Meera scenes and I'll zone out the rest of the senselessness happily😆

LOL I don't think people are supposed to wear black in Indian weddings...like people wear it for the other ceremonies such as sangeet etc but in the actual phere etc, I've heard it's considered inauspicious to wear black.

And this will now fit with what PJ was talking about the proposal scene- the dialogues involve something like Meera blaming Abhi for not telling her sooner 😆. Abhi's line was very timely, true...what was interesting was that Meera's face didn't instantly fall when he said that...it wasn't like a hurt look on her face when he said that...she just quieted down and didn't even retort to him on this point...and then as he rode away, she was reflective...

In most realization scenarios, there is usually that lightening moment, that zor ka dhakka over someone saying something and something clicking inside you...but in Meera's case, isko "jhatkaa" bhi slow motion mein lag raha hai...dheereee dheereee😆...what was important in this scene was that she didn't counter the fact that Abhi said that...why, she herself didn't know...she definitely needs to be TOLD stuff...khud se batti nahin jalti tubelight ki.

I think both her and PJ need to just let be...they need that space to flow with the scene...problem starts when the editors and writers start messing with the flow, making things abrupt, jarring...I feel almost tired of repeating that "thehraav" word, but that is the only thing that does justice to the scenes.

But yes, definitely more so in ND's case, that "nadi" waali analogy that was used for Meera holds true for her too...not in that she will carve her own way, but in the manner of flow...she needs to be allowed to flow like a river, a stream...because she is best in her natural form.

Madhu will be the last one. LOL chalo good you still have some sympathy for Amma...she's lost me in this Yograj and Radhika track thanks to horrible execution. Prahlad sucks in other ways but doesn't mean that Amma isn't pathetic right now either.

Oh that's an interesting interpretation too :) But is she actually in Devpur? The airport seems like it's outside Devpur given that Meera was rushing from that dhaabha back to Devpur too😆.

Regardless, that's a sweet thought too...that the feather has found it's destination...I just like the free flowing metaphor associated with the feather...that it be allowed to fly it's course at any given point :)

❤️ LOL she just looked so adorably happy...infectious enthusiasm...a lot of it comes from ND...Honestly this is why told you before also...their happy mode is the cutest...both her and Abhi...woh bhi bechara pata nahin finally jaake kab khush hoga...but that is what is really sweet to see when they are together.....

I was just thinking...another interpretation of the "Hum best friends nahin hain" line could be that they aren't best friends because she hasn't noticed or understood what's in his heart, or noticed his pain. Best Friends are supposed to notice these things about each other...be there for each other...but she is leaving him, and has no clue what's in his heart...so how can they be best friends?

LOL Meera is such a namoona ki usko jealousy bhi dhang se feel nahin hoti...but yes, given the way she is, jealousy by itself was never going to be enough to jagaao her tubelight...cuz she is in her own world usually.

Monday bahuuut door hai...finally the show is picking up and now we have 3 days ka gap :/...lol

Chalo good, so everyone agrees that the female singer sucks...maybe someone can tweet Sony or the writers to please edit out that lady's voice for the coming episodes...cuz it seems like they will play this version constantly since Meera will realize and be racing back to Devpur.

@Anu...the flight to delhi was conveniently one hour late naa, so that Meera could remimisce upon the feather etc moments 😆...why am I getting the feeling that she will go to Delhi and then come back to Devpur...somehow the secnario from precap didn't look as though they were outside the airport, more like outside their house or something 😆...kya pata, inn shows ke places, distances aur ceremonies ke baare mein inke alawa aur koi nahi jaanta!

Edit: arey, I meant, finally an episode that evoked a happy post from you..it's fun to see you gush 😃 haha..

And word about that female singer, mera bhi pehla reaction wohi tha- kitni besuri hai woh! the lyrics are beautiful but because of her singing/voice whichever it is, it ruins the entire feels of the scene. I cannot imagine Meera singing this/thinking these thoughts, whereas in the male version, you can so easily picturize Abhi with the lyrics- the same softness in voice 😳

The lyrics to the female version of "Dil Ki Bhasha" are so beautiful and describe Meera's feelings so accurately. When I first heard the voice, it was off-putting, but after a few more listens, I didn't mind it as much. Or it could have been that I just loved the way the parting scene was filmed so much and the expressions by PJ and ND were so beautiful that nothing could ruin it for me after that...lol...the male singer definitely makes more of an impact though.

The parting scene had that DDLJ-like vibe for sure, but in a different kind of way. When Raj said "main nahi aaunga", Simran instantly got it. Meera, on the other hand, needs more time to reflect...I'm just glad the realization is finally almost here, cuz I've had as much as I can probably take of the "pata nahi yeh kya ho raha hai" dialogues from Meera...lol...
