ITV shows in Hindi have this weird concept. If they think a formula is good, they give overdose to the audience till they have loose motion.
I remember, in Kyunki Saas Bhi, they used to play Atif Aslam's "Tere Bin" for Karan and Nandini. Now, I loved that song but they played it so many times on the show - like each and every time Karan saw Nandini - that I had to detox my ears by staying away from the song for years. As a result, I even forgot the song exists until recently.
They are doing the same here.
1. If a character is one-sided lover, he/she will always cry and give out shayari. No subtlety or nuance.
2. If a father/mother/uncle/aunt/neighbour/dhobi is evil, then they will spend their whole day plotting for hero and heroine. God knows who pays their bills.
3. If there are friends of the leads, they will have no family life of their own. Their whole world will revolve around solving problems of the leads.
4. And music...Uska toh kya hi bolu.
In most of Ekta's shows, they create an "Aaaaaaa" version of the title track with faster dhol and dhoomtana music. Oh God.On top of that, if they rent any Bollywood track or bgm, then they will play it so many times that you grow allergic to it.
Jodha Akbar is the only show where they actually made an effort to produce a dozen unique amazing bgms.
