One question though, did the elders were so against the "DyutKrira" like shown here?

It seemed like Bhisma, Vidur, Gandhari all guessed that Yudhisthir would lose his kingdom in the game?

They were all certain that this game would be the destruction of the clan. It seemed strange.

Vidura was alwys 100% against it, but Raja-aagya, so he had to relent. After inviting the Pandavas he scolded Dhrity and Dury both, line mein khada karke, but Dury wanted so everybody gave in.

And Dhrity, as per the text, rejected the proposal like 5 times before Dury played his suicide card and then he gave in.

Bheeshma was not in the scenes, no body did so much as tell him what was up. He too was way tired to talk. The first time we see him talk, was after Krishna saved Drau and when she was fuming.

Gandhari tried to stop the 2nd dyuta sabha.

And Drona had nothing to say at all.
