yesterday's episode should have been one of the mos t beautiful episodes of the show and i was eagerly waiting to see as to what the reactions of simran, abhi and sia would be, but it was such a disappointment. the expressions of simran and abhi was inadequate ( i am not saying that they should over-react or something like that but u meet someone whom u love a lot a after 18 months , u definitely get v emotional). Not only that, as soon as abhi and simran meet, abhi should be eager to tell simran that their daughter is alive but instaead they sit and talk about all other things and only in the end does abhi mention that their 'aastha' is alive.

but i agree, simran's meeting with sia was shown well. just the right kind of emotions displayed. and i would also like to mention that towards the end of the episode, shaguna comes in and she's brilliant.

I unfortunately will see this episode long after the seial ends in India, so I really can only picture the scenes from sree's wonderful updates.

Abhi knows that he will be seeing Simran, so he could have 'rehearsed' the meeting in his mind. (I am talking about a real-life hypothetical situation, which Sinha might have visualized) But Simran wouldn't have expected to see her long-lost ex-husband so I think the first reaction would be stunned speechlessness, then tears, then laughter. If this is what happened then I would say it was well directed and well enacted.

Watch this space after a month! 😃

Mitila, i respect your view point. But i would say that Abhi and Simran showed the right level of emotions. As vvrsun says, the very first reaction will be a stunned speechless look. Then Abhi could not control his tears, but still did not expect to cry as he was away from the world for so long. So he asks her am i crying? This was a very nice scene. Then Simran and Abhi cry a lot. They then sit and talk. Here, Mitila says that Abhi should have broken the news of their daughter first. But when such meetings happen after a very long time, you can never just make your mind do the very right thing. I agree that he sohuld have told her. But when i see this practically, i think two people meeting after a long time will have to share some moments for them. Simran said all around her asked her whether she hated Abhi. These dialgues were needed taken into consideration the circumstance in which Abhi left Simran.

The only thing that would have come to their mind after they saw each other was this. Abih would have felt Simran must have gone thro' a lot. Simran might have felt what did he achieve by going away? This is what they talked about. They had mixed reactions. They cried, laughed, smiled, went speechless at times. But the basic underlying fact is that they loved each other. So these reactions were very natural.

Abhi got lost in his world with Simran. He then realises seeing the watch that he has more duties to complete. He then takes Simran home, thus Simran-Sia reunion. So, i would say that these reactions were very natural.

Hi,

Right from the beginning underacting has been Ajai Sinha's style with most of the characters unless he has shown them eccentric. There has been no melodrama even in the most dramatic situations.

Simran is always calm, composed and very sophisticated. In the situation where she meets Abhi after 18 years, she was expected to show more shock,I guess. But In Sia's case,it's a mother-child scene and that too under what circumstances! So i guess even the strongest of people can break down.

That Shaguna(Harshada) is a superb actor goes without saying and she has always been shown a loving but loud and bubbly person.Isn't it very thoughtful the way they have shown even her as a subdued person after the kidnapping and the 18 year leap.

We all emote differently in the same situation so we expect different reactions too! You have every right to feel the way you do, Mithila. Not trying to contradict you, just my thoughts.

Cheers,

akshata

I saw this episode today - in the UK....

Whilst the simran - abhi reunion could have been a bit mroe dramatic i suppose, at the same time i thot they did a good enough job of it and no complaints from me on that....

but the meeting between sia and simran was just great i thot..... the way they were crying etc seemed just right to me...

and shaguna was again just great - in fact, overall, i thot they all did very well in this episode...
