I read the thread completely, wow, i am amazed to know that there are many many Carnatic music lovers in this section... This is fabulous yaar!!!

Actually, I am not that interested in Carnatic Music. But, my hubby has a big craze for it. Whenever he is at home, the player is on. So i have also started to like some songs and have started to enjoy certain singers... Though i did not know much about identification of ragas, i can try to guess which other song is like the song being played... Whenever i guess right, my hubby is really proud, bubbles with joy!!!😳

Now, you said you like Raghuvamsasuda... Who do you like singing it? I love to hear the Late Maharajapuram Santhanam singing it...

Good to read your replies:-) Can you read and write Tamil? I ask since you grew up in Bangalore..

Hmmm, not a good idea for me to write about the dishes you cook when it is closing lunch time.. 😭 You have made me hungrier, lol..

So, you would like to see Tamil serials. Wow. We now have SUN TV at home and I try to catch up on some serials once in a while.. Problem is the serials are half way over and I can't follow all the plots/people, etc.. Have you tried watching Anandam or Malargal (online)? If you have watched it online/read the updates, what in your opinion are the major differences between the Tamil Serial plots/settings and Hindi ones? Here is my take on that - I feel the Tamil serials have a much more 'natural' setting - one will not see people get out of bed early in the morning with layers of makeup, the houses in the villages look sooooo real and not like some mansions.. Stories - just depends, but some of them look good:-)
