Chapter 7: Life's are entangled

Arjun frustratingly ran his hand through his hairs to control the anger building inside him. All the road to his mission are either blind alley or dead-end. Everything in his life is entangled and mysterious that he has to search for the conclusions, the irony of the fact is he knew who is responsible for his misery, nonetheless he couldn't reach out to him.

He safely wrapped the mobile and hide under the mattress.To calm his logical mind from all the happenings of the day,he lay down on the bed closed his eyes to welcome the most desperate guest of his life 'sleep'. After a lot of struggle of shutting down his logical mind, he took the iPhone which is kept on the bedside table and tapped on the tracking app of flights to check 'British Airlines'.

The act of checking someone else flight is very new to him ,other than his dad flight he never tracked down someone travel activity. After tracking he concluded that it will take another 15 hours maximum to reach the London Heathrow terminal.He turned off his mobile with the newfound information and pretending to sleep, before his brain and heart begin the war why he had tracked down Riya's flight details.

Next Morning At ETF

Arjun reached office earlier than usual, because he couldn't sleep properly last night. He is sitting in the empty conference hall with deep thoughts, until someone called his name. He looked ahead to see who called him.

"Arey Bablu! What are you doing here? " He asked surprisingly when looking at him with cutting-chai glass.

"Arjun Dada, this is for you!" He said casually.

"But, I didn't order cutting-chai! I have come here just now" He said confusingly, though he need the drink badly.

"Riya Didi called me two days ago and told me to give cutting-chai when you reach the office!" he said while pulling something from his pocket.

Prior giving the glass to Arjun, he started to clean the rib of the glass with the tissue paper, and made sure the chai glass is spot-free then gave the glass to Arjun with a smile.

" Who asked you to clean the glass with tissue paper?" He knew who is behind this, but he wants to confirm his doubt from Bablu.

" Riya Didi told me to clean the glass every time before giving chai to you, If I didn't do this, she won't buy me a new painting board from London," Bablu said sincerely

"This girl create chaos in everyone mind" Arjun muttered under his breath and clasped the cutting-chai from Bablu.

He gave the empty glass to Bablu along with some cash from the wallet.

"Dada, Riya Didi gave me already !" Bablu tried to reject the money offered by Arjun.

"It's okay, have it, this is for you !" Arjun hand over the cash to visibly happy Bablu.

Bablu quickly snatched the money from Arjun and grinned at him, before leaving the ETF happily.

Around 9 AM all reached office, they are surprised to see Arjun reached the office before them, cause Arjun always reaches on time but neither before 9 AM nor after 9 AM.

Sameer looked at Arjun strangely and murmurs to himself," This man is mysterious".

It was around 10.45 AM, they got busy in a murder case on the outskirts of Mumbai.

In London Heathrow Airport Exit.

~15 hours~

After completing the formalities Riya is walking out of the airport with her luggage, and saw her sister and brother-in-law waiting for at the car parking. Pallavi and her husband Aditya Chintakayala is happy to see Riya and they are waiting with the biggest smiles on their faces.

Pallavi hugged Riya tightly for some time, after coming out of the hug she asked," How are you Riyu? How many months it's been we have seen you? How is your pain in the forearm? Does it hurt now?"

Riya is silent for a moment," Didi, take a breath and I'm alright! About the pain, it goes away go soon" Riya assured her.

Both the sisters looking at each other with tears in eyes and hugged once again to relish the moment of togetherness after a long time.

Aditya rolled his eyes when both the girls are crying," Please don't start your Hindi movie scenes! , and you both look horrible while crying." he made a disgusting face.

After his remark about their faces, the duo looked at him fiercely. But Aditya shrugged his shoulders casually.

"What! , I told the truth!" he smirked at them while pulling Riya for a brotherly hug.

"We really missed you !" He said while controlling his emotions.

"Yes Me too!" Riya said in a choked voice.

It is Pallavi turn to make a face looking at them, "If you guys are done with your drama, Shall we go home?" she asked rolling her eyes.

"Yes, sure" duo voiced out together to irritate Pallavi further.

Aditya loaded the luggage in the back seat of the Audi A6 and motioned them to sit inside. The car ride towards Camden tower was filled with the laughter of two ladies who enjoying their moments. The car stopped at their home after 45 mins of travel. Pallavi asked Riya to freshen after the long travel.

In Camden tower Pallavi and Aditya Home

Riya nodded before leaving for shower, she took her iPhone, and typed "Reached home safely guys..." to ETF official what's app group to let them know her arrival. If she didn't send the message on time, they will get worried unnecessarily.

~ After 2 hours~

Riya, Pallavi, and Aditya are sitting in the lobby. Pallavi handed over the cup of coffee to everyone and made herself comfortable next to Riya with her own coffee. There is peaceful silence for a moment before Riya opens her mouth to ask something.

"Didi, Have you cleaned Dad's room?" Riya asked hesitatingly to break the silence in the room.

Pallavi looked at her with questioning eyes and countered," Yeah, it is the same way when you arranged the room 6 months back.!"

"Shall we go and see now?" Riya asked with hopeful eyes.

Pallavi sighed deeply and replied, "Yeah".

Aditya is looking at the ladies for a few moments, this is not something new whenever Riya is coming from India, the sister would lock themselves in the room for hours and come back either furious or devasted. He is afraid of the consequences of the room visit. He thought to stay in the lobby until both of them returns.

~Pallavi and Riya Dad's Room~

Riya and Pallavi entered the room which is located on the first floor of the house, the room has not been used for many months but looks like someone using on a daily basis. Riya looked at the big portrait of his dad in uniform with a proud smile on his handsome face. On the right of the photo, she can see their family pic with her mother, and the final one which was taken during Pallavi's marriage where he is in the middle and both the girls are hugging him sideways with a big grin on their faces.

Riya is touching his father's pic with glistening eyes and Pallavi is standing at the corner with a gloomed face. After sometime Riya started to look at his files, laptop, documents of last mission data, and pen drive for any clue or lead to his murderer, but nothing is found in them.

She took the final mission file which he completed, before the bomb explosion, nothing was written on it except 'Officer AR' who accompanied him. From the records, she knew that officer AR was working under his dad, other than his name she couldn't find anything.

She carefully looks at the scripts, codes that are in sign language and symbols, but no use. It's like the data is written in an alien language or it was coded in such a way that finding the information is next to impossible. She knew who scripted this information 'her dad' the famous data analyst of RAW. She is afraid even her best friend Sree can't crack the message out of the code. She is pulling her own hair to reduce the pain of not finding the clue, and every time she is left with nothing but the name ' AR Field officer'.

Pallavi looking at Riya who is searching the dad's documents frantically.

" Stop it, 'Miss. Riya Veer Pratap Mukherjee ', It's been three years you are searching dad's last mission case files but no use" Pallavi screamed in a rage after seeing Riya going mad on the files.

Riya with tears streaming face looked up Pallavi from the files, she is holding and said, "But we find Officer AR, Didi"

"This is not new Riya, you have found his name before 3 years when dad died" Pallavi exclaimed her.

She paused before uttering the next words, "When dad was died in a bomb blast to save his officer AR in particular 'his assistant' " Pallavi shouted furiously.

"We can try to get help from Officer AR, Didi, and he must have known who is behind that incident," Riya replied hopefully to give justice to his dad's murder.

Pallavi fake laughed and said, "Do you really think the officer AR is going to help us? Where was he during these 3 years? When he really wants to help us, he would have done that already!, and we didn't need to hide our dad's identity to anyone in the pretext of safeguarding ourselves!"

"Didi, he was also injured at that time! and If he cannot help us in this mission, I will go myself searching the criminal who is behind on that!" Riya said determinedly.

"He was just injured not bedridden for 3 years and you are not going behind anyone to search the criminal," Pallavi said firmly

"Didi, Don't you want to give justice to Dad? the man who had protected us from demons of this world, and loved us with all his heart.!" Riya asked her with a batted breath.

"Yes, I really want to kill that person, who snatched dad away from us! and leaving us orphans in the world of demons." Pallavi replied painfully,

She paused for a moment before continuing

Pallavi controlling her raging and continued," But not at the cost of you 'Pari', I can't lose you like Mom and Dad"

Riya bit her lower lip to control the pain after Pallavi addressed her 'Pari', the name only she gave the privilege to call was her Dad, not anyone else, not even her sister Pallavi her second mother.

"Don't you feel pain? does numbness surfaces in you thinking about Dad? " Riya asked her questioningly.

"Yes, it does pain thinking that Dad would never come back to us, We won't be seeing his face forever in this life," Pallavi mumbled in a broken voice and continued after a pause,

"Yeah I felt numbness in me during the initial days after that incident but I composed myself thinking, he doesn't like us seeing in trauma! .But, I feel numbness in the corner of the heart permanently thinking that we couldn't do his last rites as a daughter, and we were forced to go away from our home just to save ourselves from the international mafia" Pallavi said clutching her heart to reduce the pain.

"I want to end this numbness forever Didi !, it is not possible without finding the criminal who was behind in all these.!" Riya tried to explain to her sister to end the pain.

" After finding the criminal? what is the use? Can we get our Dad back ? or our mother? who left us at the tender age of our life! No right! , it is not going to change the fact that we are helpless in this world" Pallavi reasoned her.

"How irony is this Didi? Somewhere in the world the assassin is laughing, eating, living his life without the guilt of killing someone! But we are mourning on our father's loss and forced to evacuate our home, and left everything behind to lead an almost normal life" Riya said disgustingly while thinking about the killer.

"Yeah, we had to leave Chennai forever just with the memories of our dad and mother," Pallavi mumbled thinking about their past life.

"Didi, What if officer AR finds out? , does he help us to find the assassin? Riya asked hopefully.

" What has gotten into you Riya? Are you blind or acting like one?, If he wants to help us and give justice to our dad, the killer must be sentenced to death already and we could have proudly said whose daughter we are!" Pallavi accused blaming the officer.

Riya looked at her blankly, whether to agree with her sister or believing her guts that he will find them one day to give justice to his mentor.

"Didi, please try to understand, it must be something else that officer couldn't reach out to us! till then I can try to dig the files to reach out to AR or the assassin " Riya said expecting her sister to agree with her mission.

"You are staying out of this Riya, Either you forget the mission of dad assassin or forget going back to EFF forever " Pallavi replied her authoritatively.

Riya is shocked to hear Pallavi's determination, the ever so soft, and composed Pallavi ordering her to stop the mission.

Pallavi didn't wait for Riya's response and started to leave the room.

Somewhere An isolated road in India.

A man in a hoodie fixed some chip under the car which is parked at the isolated alley. He opened the car door using the duplicate keys and dumped the explosion sticks under the driver seat.

On the other side, A man came out of the hut with a beaming smile and started to walk towards the car which was parked at the alley.

On the other horizon of the road, the hooded man saw the person coming out with a proud smile, he waited patiently for the man to board the car and start the engine to move out of the place.

The hooded man smiled wickedly and pressed the button to explode the car at the isolated road with a blast. The sudden outbreak of the car invited some scattered people around the valley, but they couldn't see the opposite road certainly, due to the dust and fire generated cause of the explosion.

"Bye officer Vinod, You left no option to us" The hooded man fake pitied looking at the explosion.

He waited till the car burns to ashes and called one number.

"The work is done, the car burnt to ashes," He said proudly looking at the work he did.

"You should not leave a trace and they should not get a body of the officer," the receiver said cunningly.

"Body, they won't even get a bone from this place, he burnt to ashes already" the hooded man replied to clear the doubt of his boss.

He laughed dangerously and said, "Such good news after a long period and Poor officer had to die while finding a clue about me! "

"He deserves this for trying to know about your hideaways " the hooded replied sincerely

"Yes, and You abort from that place and come back to me after one month, till then you should disappear from this planet " The caller warned him

At ETF

~Around 8 PM ~

The whole ETF reached office after finding the culprit of the murder and handing over them to the local police station. Once they reached the conference room they slumped on the chair exhaustingly.

Liza and Riya looked at the men of ETF, they are holding their head due to the headache caused by the case, so they left the place to make coffee for them.

At the same Bablu arrived with a cutting-chai for Arjun, surprising everyone in the room except Arjun. He gave the glass to Arjun and left the place. Sree and Chotu can guess who is behind this and they smiled inwardly for her smartness and the way she makes people dance on her tunes without objection. The most startling thing is Arjun doesn't create any scene or bombarded the questions to Bablu about the chai service.

Sree smacked his forehead for the lack of memory and dug his mobile in the laptop bag, and opened the official WhatsApp group of ETF for Riya's messages.

"Reached home safe guys..." He read the message rather loudly to hear certain someone, who is not interested in his best friend or pretending to be not interested in her.

By that time Ayesha and Liza came with coffees, they got to know that Riya reached London safely. Ayesha gave the cups to Rathod and Chotu, whereas Liza gave the cup to Sree.

"Thank you, Liza," Sree whispered to her honestly.

Liza smiled at him without uttering a word. The ETF smirked at them for their non-fight moments.

While having coffee everyone replied to Riya's message and asking her to take care, but one individual is just enjoying the chai, one cannot say he was the same man yesterday night checked her flight movements and waiting an anxiously entire day for her message about reaching the destination.

This man has layers of personality and it puts up with lots of patience to learn this man.

Arjun mobile started to ring amidst the room, he looked at the caller and frowned seeing the name. He looked up from his mobile saw everyone is busy with their phone, he took the perfect moment to slip through this cabin and locked the room before answering the call.

~Ajun's cabin~

"How many times, I told you not to call my personal number when I am at ETF, Raj? Arjun barked at him.

" Officer Vinod car exploded in the bomb blast at Dehradun" Raj replied with equal anger thinking about the event which had happened a few hours ago.

"What? How? When?" Arjun asked him shockingly.

"Yeah, that's true AR, We didn't know how? But some local people informed about the blast to a nearby police station, from there we got a call to head office. About when it occurred exactly 1.47 mins ago " Raj detailed him with the data.

"Clear the crowd from that place, take the case under our department, and make sure news is not telecasted about the blast " Arjun instructed him with the duties while running his hand over his hairs.

"Yes, I will do that and it's time for your visit AR," Raj asserted the truth.

"Yes I'm showing up tomorrow morning at Dehradun" Arjun answered back.

He disconnected the call with the determination of going to Dehradun at any cost.

He came out of the cabin sees everyone is packing their bags for home. He couldn't see Rathod around the place so he made his way to Rathod's cabin.

~Rathod's cabin~

Without knocking the cabin he showed himself to Rathod, who is burying his face to one of the case reports. He cleared his throat to indicate his presence to Rathod.

Rathod moved his eyes from the file and waiting for Arjun to speak.

"I need 1-week leave," Arjun informed him.

"What ? and Why? Care to explain the reason for taking leave? "Rathod looked at suspiciously for his sudden leave plan.

" It's personal" Arjun replied rudely to cut short the questions.

"Without reason, I cannot allow you to take leave and you may go now!" Rathod countered back him with attitude.

"I'm going to Newyork! I told you the reason now, can you allow me now?" Arjun replied frustratingly.

"What happened? All okay? " Rathod asked with concern because he knows Arjun's parents are living in States.

"Yes," Arjun replied monotonously.

"You can take leave" Rathod immediately answered him.

Arjun darted out of the room without saying anything to Rathod who is looking for a response from him.

Rathod wants to pull his own hairs for expecting an acknowledgment from Rawte.

At Ravi's Lodge.

Arjun reached the lodge after 20 mins travel from ETF, and freshen up and started to pack the clothes, his Gun, laptop, ID card along with ETF card, and the mobile which is sleeping under the mattress.

He dialed Raj number and waited for him to pick the call.

"Change the location of my personal number to New York from tomorrow afternoon and till then reroute all the calls to voice message and I'm going to switch off mobile so don't call this number" Arjun gave him instructions.

"Yes, I will do" Raj responded.

He disconnected the call and dialed a different number for some other reason.

The man instantly picked up the call after seeing Arjun's name on the mobile screen.

"Arjun Sir, How are you? " The caller questioned him cheerfully.

"I'm good and you? , Mom and dad are fine right?" He asked hopefully.

"Yes, they are good, just waiting for your arrival! , Any reasons you have called at the odd hour of the day" The caller looked at the wall clock while questioning him.

"It's nothing, Just fake setup that, I traveled on a charter flight to reach New York, and I came to visit my parents" Arjun replied in a single breath.

"Yes I will do that after all being you dad's PA, at least I should help you on this matter" he concurred with Arjun.

"It's Work-related Zain, and I hope you would hide this matter to my parents" Arjun replied tiredly

"Yeah just the way I'm hiding the extra guards who are protecting your dad and mom 24/7 ,and the way I'm hiding the cameras fit inside your mansion and the control you has on it, and the way I'm hiding his son is checking my boss schedules and flight travel history" Zain shouted in agony at the end.

Arjun was silent for a moment after listening to his turmoil. He was right with each point and he couldn't deny that.

"I have my own reasons " Arjun retorted back with equal emotion.

"We didn't know any reasons, at least we are not like you, and the work will be done," Zain told him.

"Yeh, You know"

Before Arjun could say Zain stopped him.

"I don't need your thanks, and if you really want to thank me come here soon to make their lives better" Zain replied fiercely.

"I Will try!"

He disconnected the call and took his back bags before locking the room, and shoving the keys inside his pant pocket.

He started the engine of the bike, after 45 mins travel he stopped the bike at the villa gate. The Gatekeeper and the security are recognized the bike number, since he is using a helmet to cover his head. They allowed him to enter the mansion, he straightway drove to basements in which almost all types of cars are being parked along with his bike collection.

He jumped out of the bike and after removing the helmet, he started to keep the back bags in the black sedan which was parked at his left side. He checked the fuel level, and car condition, once he was satisfied with the car condition, sit inside the car and drove away from the villa to his destination Dehradun.

In Camden tower Pallavi and Aditya Home

~After 3 hours~

Pallavi came out of the room in furious mode whereas Riya in panic mode, after her sister outburst. They came and sat next to Aditya who is silently looking at them baffled cause the emotions which are reflecting in their faces are opposite of their nature, it was always another way around.

Suddenly his eyes caught Riya's bleeding forearm, but it seems Riya is not aware of the pain or the blood oozing out.

"Riya, your hand is bleeding! Wait let me bring the first-aid kit" Aditya exclaimed panicked and ran towards the rack where they kept the medical box.

Within 2 mins, he came with the medical box in his hand ,before he could open the Riya's bandage the box was snatched by Pallavi.

"Don't forget I'm also a Doctor, Mrs Pallavi Aditya Chintakayala" Adi replied with fake anger.

"I knew, but not better than me, Mr. Aditya Chintakayala!" Pallavi answered back with equal emotion of her husband.

Riya controlled her laugh while looking at the duo fight over who is the best doctor.

Pallavi shifted her place next to Riya, and started to open the bandage and the wound look awful. She cleaned the wound with the cotton and applied Neosporin to minimize the infection.

"How does it happen?" Pallavi interrogated while bandaging her forearm.

"During a case, one goon fired at me when he tried escaping" Riya mumbled without looking at Pallavi's eyes.

"Only the Truth" Pallavi replied sternly.

"Okay, I took the bullet on me while saving my senior" with closed eyes Riya replied in a single breath.

"What if something happens to you?" Pallavi cross-questioned her.

"He will never let anything happens to me!" Riya restored her sincerely like she knew Arjun would saver her always.

"It seems you believe him, more than yourself!" Pallavi questioned her.

"More than myself!" she muttered under her breath hoping the last words are not heard by her sister.

Pallavi looked at her astonishingly the trust Riya is having on that person.

I guess now the doubts would be cleared whom Arjun is searching.!

I'm kina doubtful about this chapter, not sure this is entertaining or not, but I will try my level best in next chappy.
