THE SECOND CHANCE

Riya walks to a coffee shop waiting for the admirer. She suddenly finds out sam there. She smiled and took the letter out. She read it again and kept it inside.

A man came with a coffee with i love you on it

Riya : are bhaisaab kya hai yeh?

man : mam ji slow slow.. Ek sir ne aapki photo dekar yeh bola ki aap aane ke baad yeh coffee dene ke liye paise bhi diya

Riya : (excited) kaun hai wo?

Man : mujhe pata nahi mam.. Lekin wo bahuth fair hai

Riya : thank you

Riya waited for him for 3 hours finally got irritated and started to move away suddenly she heard a thud sound

She turned back only to find Sam there. She just moved numb near him and sighed him to sit. Sam sat nervously while riya was not in a state to talk anything. Then the waiter has come

Riya : paani lao aur uske liye ek mocha without sugar or any sugar ingredients

Sam : riya without sugar how...

Riya : take it

Sam : riya wo main kuch kaam se aaya hun... By the way how are you? It's been long since we met

Riya : ha u were playing hide and seek all long

Sam : aise nahi

Riya : i dont fall for such cheap tricks samjhe tum

Sam : riya ab saaf saaf bol rahe hun.... Suno... Open. Your ears and listen.... I love you..if u agree i will be beside you forever or else i will be following like this.. I may or may not be in your life but u will be forever in my life

Riya : mujhe jaana hai... Ok i am leaving

Sam : hello u very rude person

Riya raises her eyebrow

Sam : sach mein.. Agar if u were that good then atleast u would have slapped me and ignore toh sirf rude people hi karthe hai

Riya : see sam i don't want to either hurt you or just adjust in an unwanted relationship with you. See i am not interested in long term relationships... Actually i don't believe in the concept of love

Riya walks out sam runs back of her. He follows her until she reached her college . Sam stops her he just kneels in front of her. Everyone stares them weirdly. He then takes out a card from his pocket and

Sam : main poore life aapake saath nahin rah sakata lekin jab main aapake saath hoon to main aapako raanee jaisa mahasoos karaoonga

Ayesha and others cheering her. Everyone are around them

Ayesha and others : haan bolo

Riya : nahi.... Get lost

Sam was disappointed. Its clearly evident on his face. He turned to leave suddenly ayesha came there. She held his hand comforting him

Ayesha : wo kisi din haan keh degi

Sam : really y is she such weirdo

Ayesha : problem by default we can't do anything

Sam : ha we can't really do anything about that

Ayesha : ayehsa... Ayesha kapoor

Sam (smiles) : Sameer.D.rathore

Ayesha : really is that ur name

Sam : ha kyu?

Ayesha : nothing like that but its so uncool

Sam : ha ha..

Ayesha : ok Sameer.D.rathore.. Will meet soon

Sam : call me Sam.. Coz u know na Sameer.D.rathore is so uncool

Ayesha : tanna mar rahe ho.. Not bad.. U are cool..

Sam formally hugs her and she hugs him back. Only to find Riya glaring both. Sam and ayesha giggled

Sam : wo kya hai na anyway u said no so i thought of trying her.

Ayesha : aur hamare tastes kaafi close hai

Sam : bye ayesha.. Lets hangout soon again

Ayesha : bye sameer. Sorry sam

Ayesha leaves. Suddenly sam turns towards Riya and covers the distance between them. He smells her hair and then slowly moves near her ears

Sam : morr f 10 right( hairspray brand)

Riya : ha tume kaise patha

Sam : tumhare baare har ek cheez patha hai except tumhare dil

Riya (impressed) : kuch bhi

Sam : dekho Riya.. I just wanted to be with u.. If u love me i will be beside u.. If u dont i will be in my dreams. But without u impossible

Riya : i am confused.

Sam : are you loving someone?

Riya : nahi

Sam : kya mein itna bura hun?

Riya : no

Sam : am i unfit to be with you?

Riya : no

Sam : toh kya... Ek baar we can try.. Just give me a chance

Riya : i want some time

Sam shouts with happiness and moves from there. He goes to a gift shop. He purchased somethings and went to the college by evening. He was waiting beside his bike

Riya comes after sometime and watches sam on bike

Sam signals her to sit beside him.

Riya : tum yaha

Sam : (blinks his eyes cutely) : ha mein hi bhooth nahi

Riya : aur yeh kya hai

Sam : if u don't know let me say this is a bike

Riya : i know it is a bike but y are you here with this bike

Sam : i will drop you

Riya : this is not going to happen

Sam : kyu

Riya : because i love travelling by trams

Sam : so let's go by tram. Wait i will park this one and will join u

Riya, ayesha, Sam board a tram Riya and ayesha sit on one side while sam sits opposite to them

Sam : ab kya

Riya : kya

Sam : toh hum shaadi ke baad bhi aise hi travel karna hai kya

Riya : i didn't say we are going to marry

Sam : aaj nahi toh kal

Riya : don't get any ideas

Sam : these are not ideas... They are my future plans

Riya : whatever

Sam (suddenly asks) dance karna hai... Its raining na

Riya : yaha pe kaise

Sam : pehle baarish hai.. Chalo

Sam holds her hand and make her jump from the moving tran. Poor ayesha holds riyas and her belongings and she also jumps from the tram. Sam takes Riya to a coffee shop. It has a lounge where it is drizzling. Sam sits there with Riya and ayesha. Sam orders some coffee for three of them.

Riya : agar tum coffee peena chahthe ho toh you should have climbed down. U are wasting our time

Sam :( to waiter) can you please play a song...( Pointing riya) yeh riya meri biwi hai. She is pregnant and we wanted to cherish this moment.

Waiter : sure sir

Sam : and in this happy moment i am paying off all the bills here

Sam forwards his hands to Riya and she forwards her hands to him. He pulls her to the table and make her stand on it. He then stands and they dance together madly

Evening at Riya's place

Riya : it was a wonderful experience thank you

Sam : i just don't want all these thank you... Bas ek i love you bolo na

Riya ( smiles) : chalo milthe hai

Sam jumps from there with happiness. He moves to his place extremely excited.

While sleeping suddenly Riya's mobile beeps

Sam : are you free tomorrow?

Riya : nahi.. kyu?

Sam : i will miss u

Riya smiles at that and shuts her mobile and goes to sleep peacefully after many days

Next day

Riya was reading something and biting her nails. She was preparing for her seminar in darjiling. She was ready with her luggage. She was roaming here and there in the corridor of the college. Suddenly someone grabbed her hand and moved to a nearby room.

Riya: don't underestimate me. I will bang ur head

Man( kept fingers on her lips) : then bang

Riya : sam tum yaha... Y are you here. Agar koi tumhe dekha toh mujhe suspend karega

Sam : toh ham bahar jayenge.

Riya : ok (suddenly) wait... I am not coming ok

Sam : kyu

Riya : i am going to class.

Sam : baby please

She hits his head and in that fraction of timd she escapes from his hold. Riya keeps her luggage in her locker. She moves to her class. She sat beside ayesha and adjusting her things. Just then the professor entered. She wished him and moved a bit back to sit suddenly sam enters the place and he shouts riya Riya in top of her voice. Suddenly everyone turns to riya and she puts her head on the table with embarrassment. Slowly she move towards him. He came running to her, kissed her cheek and hugged her tight. Everyone started cheering them. The professor was just there without any movement.

Sam : seminar hai mujhe kyu inform nahi kiya

Riya : bas aisa hi

Sam : i will miss you baby..

He hugs her and lifts her up. He suddenly drops her down bids a bye and moves out. The very embarrassed Riya turns to the professor who has already raised a brow at her

Professor : yeh kya hai riya. This is class behave

Riya : sorry sir

Saying this she takes her bags and leave from there. She just goes to cafeteria only to find Sam waiting for her there.

Riya : tumhe kya kiya? Who the hell called u (sam was smiling widely suddenly she started laughing. Sam came to her and took her luggage and made it settle on his bike sides and went to darjiling with riya)

Present ( from car sequence)

Suddenly something hit riyas cheek (as she was leaning over the car door) she jerked out of her thoughts. She looked at sam who was looking at her worried already. She just murmured a thank you and kissed his forehead and went inside the clinic.

Riya : he is good. Perfect, handsome, daring everyone dreamt of... But mere life mein mujhe perfect ke zyaada imperfect mein pasand hai... Problem ka shuruat toh wo hi hai.. I know sam was best for me. And he will be the best in everything but i just don't want to be in a bonded relationship for lifetime. Years passed now our parents are rushing to get us married. God help me..

Suddenly Riya's mobile rings...

Otherside : har ek cheez ko expiry date hotha hai

Riya : lekin hamare dosthi ko nahi.... (after a pause) roshini

Roshini: ha mein hi hun chudail nahi..

Riya : how are u?

Roshini : fine... Suno shaadi tay hogayi meri

Riya : wow kab kaha?

Roshini : 1 and half month later

Riya : kaun hai ladka

Roshini : inn sab baate karne ke liye tum banaras aana padega

Riya : definitely shaadi ke 2 din pehle hi aungi mein

Roshini : 10 din pehla aana hai tumhe

Riya : haa zaroor... Ok. Roshini mein shaam ko call karthi hun bye

Roshini : bye.

Banaras

Here arjun is standing beside rosh along with shree and sakshi. Roshini kept her call on loud speaker.

Arjun : awaz badal gaye hai. Hain na?

Shree : ha lekin wo sweetness waisa hi hai

Rosh : wo ab school ki ladki nahi hai. Wo ab ek responsible adult hai

Sakshi : ha bilcul sahi kaha tune

Arjun : yeh sab baad mein.. Pehla kaam mein lag jao sakshi.

Rosh : kya kaam?

Sakshi : raani shaeba aane wala hai na roshini.. Isliye

Rosh : ( helds Arjuns hands) arjun ek baat bolu

Arjun : ha itna help kiya.. Ab permission kyu maang rahe hu

Rosh : people are not stable neither their appearance nor their personality. So please I request you please jyaada hopes kisi pe math rakhna.. Please

Arjun just smiles and leaves.. Sakshi follows arjun with a questioning gaze on her face. Shree also moves from there with confused face

At Arjuns place : eveng

Shree : are arjun suna tumne roshini ko.. Just stop being mad of her

Arjun : ha suna she is upset bcz i hurted her

Sakshi : kuch toh chut raha hai

Arjun : are yaar yeh to chutiyapa hai

Shree : sakshi yeh pura pagal hai.. Bas uske peeche hai hamesha. Khud par kabhi dhyaan nahi

Arjun : mujhe wo right nahi.. Mein bas mere selfishness ke wajah se ek baar use kho diya

........ Reason for the breakup.......

Riya and arjun are on the terrace of Riya's house. Riya was sitting on Arjuns lap. They were enjoying each others embrace

Riya : arjun

Arjun : hmm

Riya : tune mujhe dekha bhi nahi..

Arjun : maine tumhe dekha tha.. Theek Se dekha tha

Riya : kuch toh bolo na

Arjun : i love you

Riya : hamesha yahi hai na

Arjun : mujhse shaadi karlo

Riya : do u really have any other option?

Arjun : nahi... But ab ke liye mujhe jaana hai...

Riya : kyu?

Arjun : pappa horn baja rahe hai.. So bye

Riya : ek baat bolu

Arjun : ha

Riya : i hate u ( saying this she starts laughing)

Arjun moves down all smiles. He just sat back of his father's scooter. The journey is unusually silent. Once thry reached home arjuns father was actually fuming.

Arjun : papa aapko kal scooter ki zaroorath hai?

Father : kyu tumhe koi ladki ke saath jaana hai

Arjun : kya papa? Mujhe kuch Samaj nahi aa raha hai

Suddenly listening to this mess Arjuns mother rushes to them. Arjuns father already started banging his head.

Arjun : papa aisa kuch nahi hai

Father : inki saaman pack karo. Yeh lo tumhare allotment order. Yeh tumhe inn dinon chuppah rakha tumne

Arjun : papa riya mujhe pyaar karthi hai

Father : ( slap him hardly) mind ur limits. They may be friendly with u lekin wo hamara aukat se bahar hai.

Arjun :papa please

Father : koi baat nahi

Sakshi comes to arjun and says something. Suddenly his father turns to her.

Father : dekho dosth hai limits mein raho.. Agar dono ke beech mediator kaam karna hai toh agle baar math aana

Next day however three managed to meet Riya

Riya : arjun tumhare chehre pe yeh kya

Arjun : kya??

Riya lifts her feet and kisses him and smiles

Riya : ab theek hogaya

Arjun : Riya mujhe kuch baath karna hai

Riya : bolo permission kyu le rahe ho

Arjun : mein pondicherry jaa raha hun

Riya : vacation ke liye wow thats a nice place

Arjun : nahi.. Padne ke liye

Riya : arjun dekho arjun mere aankhon mein dekho.. Why are doing this?

Arjun : riya har ek ke liye ek time hoga..dekho riya dimak tanda karke sochna riyu

Riya : arjun i love you... Mujhse jyaada priority kya hai tujhe... Agar aaj nahi toh its over... Mark my words its over

Arjun : riya please.. Listen it may sound hard now but yeh hamari bhalai ke liye hi hai

After this they both move away from each other

Arjun cleaned his glasses and determined

Arjun: jo beet gaya so beet gaya. Ab toh usko aane do pehle

Shree : haa hope every thing goes well

Riyas mother gets a call from her grandparents to come to banaras for This vacation. Riya though excited for roshinis marriage but didn't like the idea of staying in that building again. Riya was frustrated by the idea of going to banaras for her term holidays. Because she hardly remember anything over there. She started to pack her stuff, suddenly sam enters

Sam : is this that important?

Riya : i dont know sam

Sam : tussi math jao

Riya : sam please... Don't stop me actually i don't know whether to go or not but u see grandpa wants to see me so thats a really important thing for me.

Sam : take care...actually mujhe aise horaha hai jaise ki u are going away forever... Koi bath nahi... aadath toh hona chahiye tere bina.. By the way I will miss you...

Saying this he kisses on her forehead. She smiles and hugs him back. He also hugs her. They stand still in same posture as if time was frozen. Suddenly Riya's mother intervenes.

Mom : beta is your packing completed

Riya : ha ma

Mom : bas 2 hours we will move

Sam : aunty can i take Riya out for 15 minutes

Mom : dekho beta we will be late

Riya : sam chalo

Riya's mom was shocked. She smiled at the figures moving far from her reach

Sam : tu toh badi daring girl nikli

Riya : bolo kaha jaana hai

Sam : wait lemme bring my bike

Riya : ham kaha ja rahe hai

Sam takes her to a gift shop. Riya was just following him like a lost puppy

Sam : mere paas aapake lie ek gift hai princess

Riya : really ( try to sound excited)

Sam: yes

He moves to a counter handovers his card and took a wrapped small thing and handed it over to RIYA

Riya : kya hai yeh?

Sam : kholke toh dekho

Riya started unwrapping it. She slowly removed the cover and then another cloth wrapped to it and inside there is a tiny box and a Swiss choclate wrap

Riya : swiss choclate this is my favourite

Sam: uss se bhi jyaada acha wala toh yeh box mein hai

Riya : lemme open

Sam was looking all smiles. While riya is a bit enthusiastic. She unwrapped the cover of the box and then she opened it only to find a charm bracelet with a flower on it and SR written on it. Riya smiled and wore it.

Sam :by the way how is the gift

Riya : bahuth acha

Sam : dekho time horaha hai.. Chalo

Riya : ha

Sam also moves to railway station along with riya and her mother. He makes sure that everything is perfect there and leaves

The train starts and Riya's heart is filled with some feeling that she is not able to figure out . She rests her head and moves into deep sleep..
