I had mentioned in the first chapter, I think, that Ananya was sleeping in her room and she wasn't aware of what was going on outside her door.

Arjun needed to share his pain and who else to share it with but the person who can understand him.

Yep, Arjun lost his everything and now only has Ananya to call his own.
