As for this kind of characters being problematic ultimately, to you, then deal with it. It is YOUR problem that you cannot digest such a character. Why should someone change or be in a particular way to impress you. You’re literally saying that Anupamaa should aim for authenticity and yet you’re criticising her for being the way she is actually?
You are saying that she should not be the way she is for this family etc, but you are saying that she should be in a particular way that is acceptable to you.
You are saying no one is calling her an idiot. But it is obvious that a group of you here is calling her it.
As for making things happen, change doesn’t happen over night. Free will is not necessarily capable of making things happen immediately. Patience is a virtue. Also, if you say there’s issues with this level of patience, well then once again. It is YOUR problem that you can’t digest it. Deal with it.
OK so if shouting at Samar and stopping Kinjal doesn't mean that her limitless kindness has ended, then why would standing up to Vanraj, Baa, Toshu or Pankhi end it?? I am now confused about what you mean by limitless kindness and what your definition of kindness actually even is 😕.
Lol and what do you mean by "deal with it"? Stop finding the flaws in the way Anu's character is being written? Stop criticizing the actions/positions CVs are making this character take? Since when is it wrong to express our views on this show and it's characters? Isn't that exactly what this forum was created for??
I'm not trying to bash or troll any of the actors due to things their characters do (I know that they are not their characters, and I think they are all excellent and very well suited to the roles they are playing, especially Rupali)... so how is any of what I've said offensive? We as audience have every right to disagree with what's being shown in a show we follow...
And ideally a character would be shaped to suit the tastes of most of that show's audience... when makers fail to do that is when viewership is ultimately lost.
Also I never said no one is calling Anu an idiot. Please read my previous post again. I said no one is calling Anu an idiot because she doesn't shout or act aggressive... they are calling her an idiot because she is no longer taking a stand for herself or what is right in any way at all.
And I never said all problems can be fixed over night or immediately... but an effort needs to be made at least. I don't agree with the brand of patience that means patiently waiting for your problems to go away without even trying to do anything about them. And I'll say so, because we all have a right to express our views about this show on this forum.
If we don't agree with what others on the forum are saying, we should raise counterpoints. We shouldn't just tell them to suck it up or stop watching because we have nothing better to say.
