Vanraj did not disrepect his mother for her not knowing english but he love her mother because he see how her mother Very caring to vanraj

So if vanraj can see love and care of mother and can respect her because she give birth to vanraj

So why cant vanraj see love and care of anupama that use to have for vanraj

Yes ur mother has given u birth and take lot of efforts to raise u. But anupama has also come to ur home leaving her own home sacrificng her own dream ( as she want to make career in dance as well as study more )at age of 18

But she has sacrifice her dream because of poor Financial condition of her own family

So when she has sacrifice her dream and has been totally dedicate to u so why u have not seen love and sacrifice of ur wife like as u see in ur mother

Even vanraj know that as devika told to every one that anupama use to hate cooking before marriage and anupama was book worm before marriage as anupama love to read Books before marriage but at age of 18 anupama get married due to poor Financial condition

And Even know that anupama once slap a boy as he use to bother her during anupama school time

He know Very well what anupama was before marriage how anupama was ambitious but due to Financial condition as there is not earning member as anupama father died at childhood she could not continue her study

There were many issues with the dialogues. Like you seriously cannot compare wife with a mother.. Both have different roles to play in individual's life.... but Toshu's point could have been that what if Babuji thought just like you and left baa... Yup, exactly what I was wondering! wife and mother both are equally important and Vanraj doesn't know how to respect either of them, to be honest. More than that, it doesn't matter what their flaws are, he should first learn to respect a woman. Wife, mother, sister are all just roles that one woman is capable of playing.
