sid says to herself papa isnt here yet. kaushalya comes and sees sid holding the pakoras and asks why she has them, doesnt her stomach hurt. sid pretends shes in pain and says a maid brought them. kaushalya says til shes well she has to eat healthy food. sid says no and takes the plate, she will send them back later. kaushalya asks sid if shes really sick. sid says it hurts a lot. kaushalya smiles while leaving. sid eats the pakora after kaushalya leaves.
nandini looks for moni.
ranvijay tells moni to say she took the jhumka and sold it if nandini asks. moni says she has never stolen before how can she say that. ranvijay says nothing will happen, and to cry a little. moni says no. ranvijay gives moni money and says to do her work. moni leaves. nandini hears all this and wonders why ranvijay lied since moni didnt take it, what is ranvijay hiding.
lali is cleaning the floor. gangiya comes in coughing. gangiya makes fun of lali and how shekhar should have spit on her face, why is she doing this, this is her aukad, society is spitting on them. shekhar comes and coughs. gangiya says she just came to say food is ready. lali says liar. shekhar says to stop, maybe gangiya is right. lali kicks the pail of water while gangiya is walking. gangiya slips and falls and gets wet. lali laughs and says gangiya is saying nonsense. shekhar smiles. gangiya leaves. shekhar takes his flute and leaves.

ranvijay says to shekhar to sign the papers. dadaji says to shekhar people get trapped without thinking, and to read the papers then sign it. ranvijay says to shekhar to read it, its clear. shekhar reads the papers.
