Here she was, right beside the love of her love. He did not recognize her. It was almost comical how men were so oblivious to what they did not want to observe. The simple garb of a merchant had hid her so well from her love.
This story has begun from a small town far from the booming city of Umerkot. Now it is about to end.
---
Look! In the heart of the desert of Thar, there stands the town called Ludano. Look at the magic castle of Kaak! They say there lives a magical maiden. Having skin as smooth as wax, she is Momal.
Ah see how the King Hameer of Umerkot and his companions seek some rest at Momal's doorstep after a long day of hunt. Among the King's companions stands the handsome Rano. Brave as a lion, sharp as a sword.
Breaking through the magical barriers, he finds Momal asleep on her bed. Laying aside his walking cane, he wakes her up. Seeing his grace, Momal loses her naive heart to him.
Jealousy of the King flares up the flames of separation for the star-crossed lovers.
The King forbids Rano from seeing Momal again but Rano escapes to his lady love on a speeding camel. When he returns The King imprisons his friend.
Unable to bear the pain of separation from Rano, Momal makes her sister dress in Rano's clothes and sleep in her bed.
After some time, the King releases Rano out of remembrance of their old friendship and Rano immediately speeds towards the castle of Kaak.
Mistkaing Momal's sister as a lover, furious at the implications, he storms out and back to Umerkot. When Momal wakes up, she finds his walking stick beside her bed and is now distraught with grief.
Her sister disguises her as a merchant and sends her to Umerkot to regains back his love and trust.

The glance of Rano slips to the disguised Momal's neck. His face contorts in rage as he recognizes the birthmark on her neck. He stands with his open sword and curses at her.
She tries to explain herself but stops. Her eyes well up in angry tears as she staggers backwards. The huge bonfire dancing behind her seems like the respite.
His eyes grows in shock as she turns and jumps in. He screams her name and she screams in agony. He strikes his own forehead as he realizes the truth as her waxen body threatens to melt.
He holds out a hand as if to stop her; to bring her back. Then he jumps.
